Today I'm sharing a review from Juno Hair Guwol-dong Rodeo Branch, which I found while looking for a men's hair salon in Guwol-dong, Incheon.

My partner's hair had gotten long and was looking frizzy and messy, so we went for a men's cut plus side/back down perm and custom design perm. Director Wonbin gave such a thorough consultation on his head shape and hair texture and recommended a style that really suited him — we were so satisfied.

Men's down perm and design perm price: 158,000 won

The price list is posted right at the store entrance, which was great because we could estimate the cost ahead of time. We visited today with a booking for Director Wonbin. We reserved through Naver Place, choosing the Men's Cut & Head Design Down Perm menu.

After consulting with the designer, we ultimately went with the 1:1 custom design perm (design cut + scalp protectant + down perm + custom design perm + scalp pack). The total came to 158,000 won. Since the price was clearly listed both on the booking site and at the store entrance, we didn't have to awkwardly ask about cost!

The overall vibe was dark-toned, so it was easy on the eyes and comfortable. There's a separate waiting room, with seating and a kids' play area kept apart, which made waiting really pleasant!!

While waiting for the designer, we were first offered a welcome tea~ I was thirsty and it was so refreshing~ As you'd expect from a brand hair salon, there were a lot of customers and a lot of staff too. But it was well managed, so it never felt too crowded or chaotic!

There were various products for sale at the entrance, and browsing them made the time fly by haha

The perm step by step, starting with a head shape consultation

This is the before hairstyle. His hair had gotten quite long and looked messy and frizzy. He washed his hair first, then the designer came over and explained his head shape.

She kindly explained what style would complement his head shape and recommended one that suited him~ After the consultation, he decided on a cut, perm, and side/back down perm~

The perm rods were wound so neatly haha While the perm was setting, the mid-level designer kept checking in and looking after his hair to make sure everything was going well.

They gave us drinks and snacks so the wait didn't feel boring~ Once the perm was finished, they dried and styled his hair and explained in detail how to style it at home, so even my styling-challenged partner was very satisfied haha

And here's the long-awaited after photo haha Turned out so clean, right~? Comparing it to the before, he looks about five years younger lol I told him he'd found his fountain of youth and should've done this ages ago lol

He was so pumped he even took a selfie~ He said that after down perms before, his scalp would often get itchy because of the perm solution, but this time there was no itching at all, just comfortable haha He was so happy with both the hairstyle and the designer, saying a brand salon really is different lol

Director Wonbin gave such a detailed and kind consultation, from head shape all the way to style recommendations, that my partner felt confident trying a totally new style for the first time!! The result was a total, total win haha I always used to tease him for looking like an old uncle, but now he looks a bit younger, don't you think? haha It really made me think again how much hair matters for men~ Thank you so much, Director Wonbin, for such a great haircut~
