Is there a wait? Booking ahead got us seated right away
Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch tends to get a wait during peak hours and weekends, but this time I'd booked ahead so we were seated at our reserved table right away, no waiting. It's known as a great-value spot for fire-grilled jjukkumi, pork, and nakji-bokkeum (octopus stir-fry) at generous portions, so during peak times or weekends it's packed — people waiting all over the place, haha.

The restaurant spans two floors, so it's spacious, and the restroom is inside on the first floor.
Inside the restaurant and the self-serve bar
The first floor of Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon was already fully booked — plenty of tables, including floor seating, but too crowded to photograph.
There are baby chairs too, so bringing kids for a family meal in Guwol-dong is no problem.

You can freely refill side dishes at the self-serve bar, haha.

Leaving a receipt review at Boksakkot in Guwol-dong gets you a free ice pop or rice snack, so be sure to grab a sweet treat after your meal.
Our reserved table turned out to be a second-floor window seat — nice, haha. The second floor has plenty of hall tables too, plus group rooms, making it super popular for group dinners and gatherings in Guwol-dong!
There are baby chairs upstairs too, and neat disposable aprons hanging on the wall, haha.
The second floor also has a self-serve bar for refilling side dishes — homestyle basics, plus warm seaweed soup, haha.

There's also a soda machine at the self-serve bar — usually you'd need to order a drink to get a cup, but true to its reputation as a great-value spot in Guwol-dong, it's free to use.

The drawer under the table is well-stocked with utensils and napkins, haha.

Boksakkot Pineun Jip menu and what the set includes
Boksakkot's signature fire-grilled dishes are pork bulgogi, jjukkumi, and nakji-bokkeum, with set menus priced ₩14,900–17,900 (per the menu as of September 2026). Really generous portions for a very reasonable price!
You can also order jjuchipa (jjukkumi with cheese and pasta), mushroom bulgogi hot pot, octopus and bulgogi, or even galbi ribs as a set. And when you order 2+ servings of the set menu, you get pizza, salad, mukbap jelly soup, and dessert coffee alongside the main dish — plus unlimited rice and soft drink refills!
I liked that unlike most places that require 2+ servings of the same dish for a set, here you can mix one serving each of the fire-grilled dishes, and choose from 3 spice levels too. It's not part of a set, but they also have braised beef short ribs, and side dishes like spaghetti, pork cutlet, and fried items — a solid Guwol-dong jjukkumi spot for eating out!

The two-person set table: side dishes, salad and mukbap jelly soup
Boksakkot's two-person set menu filling up the large table.

Four homestyle side dishes came out — I'm not sure exactly what the green herb was, but it was especially tasty, haha.

A generous, crisp salad also came with — maybe an apple yogurt sauce? Nice and tangy.
We also got a cold mukbap jelly soup with a bit of ice slush, loaded with acorn jelly, haha.

Rice is included by default with the set! It came with a bowl of bean sprouts and lettuce too, great for mixing everything together, haha.

The pepperoni pizza that comes with the set
A pizza came out too, a nice side to pair with the spicy jjukkumi, pork, and octopus stir-fry, and the size was pretty generous, haha. You can choose gorgonzola or a seasonal pizza — the seasonal option is rocket pizza from March to May, and pepperoni from June to February! The gorgonzola was great too, but this time we went with pepperoni.
Cheese stretching everywhere on Boksakkot's pepperoni pizza, haha.

Thin crust, but loaded with cheese and pepperoni, not overly salty, and pairs really well with the spicy dishes, haha. Perfect for the set.

How spicy is level 1 fire-grilled pork bulgogi?
The pork bulgogi arrived with that fire-grilled aroma right away!! We picked spice level 1 — for someone who likes spicy food, it's a pleasant kick, but if you can't handle spice well, it might feel a bit hot, haha.

Mixing white rice and the pork into the bowl with crunchy bean sprouts and lettuce makes for a delicious Guwol-dong pork bulgogi experience — the fire flavor really comes through, and the tender pork balanced by the veggies keeps it clean and refreshing!

Fire-grilled jjukkumi: texture and the total bill
We also chose spice level 1 for the jjukkumi — springy, chewy octopus! Same fire-grilled aroma and flavor come through nicely — a delicious jjukkumi spot in Guwol-dong. Portions are generous, and it's such a great-value place that you can eat until you're stuffed for just over ₩30,000!

Dessert coffee is takeout only
The set menu includes dessert coffee, but since the place is so busy, it's only available to go — you can choose from americano, mix coffee, plum tea, iced tea, chamomile, or roasted barley tea!

We got a cold iced americano to cleanse the palate — a clean finish to the meal.
Verdict: who should book Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch
With a spacious restaurant, plenty of tables, and a large parking lot making it easy to drive in, Boksakkot Pineun Jip is a popular jjukkumi specialist for family meals or group dinners in Guwol-dong! I loved that you can order the fire-grilled pork bulgogi, jjukkumi, and nakji-bokkeum in single servings each, and the 2+ set menu comes generously loaded with pizza, salad, mukbap jelly soup, and dessert coffee.
With rice and soft drinks included by default too, it's a truly great-value spot to eat well for the price in Guwol-dong! You may have to wait, but the staff are friendly and it makes for a pleasant meal — highly recommend Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch, a top jjukkumi restaurant in Guwol-dong!
