What kind of restaurant is Hantiok near Bangi Station?

Hantiok is a charcoal grill restaurant at 114 Wiryeseong-daero, 1st floor, Songpa-gu, Seoul, near Bangi Station. Today I'm writing about my visit to Hantiok, which I'd recommend as a great restaurant near Bangi Station :)

I ate so well that day, I still think about it!!! Usually after eating meat I just think 'that was good,' but here I kept saying it was delicious the whole time I was eating. So if I ever need to eat meat near Bangi Station again, I'm definitely coming back here haha

The location was pretty convenient to reach by public transport too. And once I walked in, the place was way bigger than I expected — loved that!

Hantiok's kids' playroom and separate group room

Hantiok has fairly spacious gaps between tables, plus a separate kids' playroom and group room. A lot of BBQ places have tables packed close together, but here there was enough room to eat comfortably.

So I thought it would work well for family gatherings with young kids, or for larger group dinners. If you're looking for a restaurant near Bangi Station that can host a group, this might be worth keeping in mind!

What comes with the handon pork galbi set at Hantiok

The menu looked like this, and after some deliberation we ordered Hantiok's Korean pork (handon) galbi set!

Since we came for pork galbi, of course we had to go all in on the main dish lol. One thing I really liked was that Andong-style soup comes included with the set. I was debating whether to add a stew separately, but since soup came with it, I didn't bother ordering extra. Having some soup on hand while eating meat is somehow just... you keep reaching for it, you know haha

After we ordered, the side dishes started arriving one by one.

Overall the side dishes paired well with the meat, but the salad was my favorite lol. I tried it before the meat arrived and it suited my taste better than expected, so I kept picking at it. Usually I ignore salads once the main dish comes out, but this time I kept eating it even after the meat showed up haha

How the charcoal-grilled pork galbi tasted

The pork galbi finally arrived!

The pork galbi we'd been waiting for finally showed up!! Even before grilling, it looked so appetizing... the color of the meat looked great and the marinade seemed well soaked in, so while taking photos I just wanted to throw it on the charcoal right away lol. And the mushrooms that came with the meat had 'Hantiok' stamped on them, which was so cute! Little details like that end up being a fun point in the photos haha

Now for the main event — grilling the meat over charcoal. Once the pork galbi hit the charcoal it sizzled and the smell hit us instantly, honestly hard to resist ㅠㅠ. Marinated galbi can burn easily because of the sauce, so we kept flipping it carefully to get it golden brown.

And finally, the first bite!! Ah... it was genuinely delicious ㅠㅠㅠ I don't even know how many times I said 'this is so good' that day lol. The marinade wasn't overly sweet — it went really well with the meat, and grilling it over charcoal added a smoky flavor that made me keep reaching for more. If you're searching for a restaurant near Bangi Station and love pork galbi, I think you'd like this style.

I usually like eating pork galbi with rice or naengmyeon, but the meat itself was so good this time that at first I just kept eating it plain!!! Then while eating the meat I also tried the Andong soup that came with it, and that was delicious too. Taking a spoonful of soup between bites of meat cleansed my palate a bit, so I kept going back and forth between the two. Since the soup came included with the galbi set, I don't think we needed to order a separate stew at all.

Pork galbi with mul-naengmyeon and bibim-naengmyeon

You can't eat pork galbi at Hantiok without naengmyeon lol. My friend ordered bibim-naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles), and I went with mul-naengmyeon (cold noodle soup). We each ordered one according to our taste and shared — meat and naengmyeon really is a combo that never fails. I like wrapping a piece of meat with mul-naengmyeon, so I kept doing that happily haha

Eating the sweet marinated pork galbi alongside the cool naengmyeon, I just kept going. Meat → naengmyeon → meat → naengmyeon... you know how it is, you keep eating even when you're already full lol

Celebrity autographs, nameplate chairs and yulmu-cha at Hantiok

Inside Hantiok there are celebrity autographs on the wall, and the backs of some chairs have nameplates showing which celebrity once sat and ate there. While eating, I looked around the restaurant and noticed a lot of autographs — seems like plenty of famous people have stopped by! It was fun to look around at these haha. And on the back of the chairs it said who had sat there before — kind of a neat, fun detail lol

Turned out we happened to sit where Lee Hong-ki had eaten before lol. Once we found out, it felt strangely exciting, and my friend and I kept saying 'so this is where he sat and ate!' haha. Spotting the autographs was fun, and having these little things to look at around the restaurant made for nice, casual entertainment during the meal.

One more fun thing — there was a yulmu-cha (adlay tea) machine that apparently G-Dragon had tried, so we grabbed a cup and tried it too lol

After the meal, finishing off with a cup of yulmu-cha really felt like the perfect ending! So that's how I wrapped up another satisfying meal haha

Who Hantiok near Bangi Station suits best

Hantiok has a spacious dining room plus a kids' playroom and group room, so it seemed like a solid choice for family gatherings or larger group dinners with several people. But above all, the handon pork galbi I had was genuinely delicious, so I left really satisfied. I ate so well that day that I'll definitely come back to Hantiok next time I need to eat meat near Bangi Station!
