Stroller-friendly lunch at a Songridan-gil pizza spot: Pizza Face Off

The weather has been so nice lately, late summer sliding into early fall, that I've been taking my baby out for walks every day. After about a week of walking, our range has been getting wider and wider.

Last week I even tried eating out with my baby for the first time! It was a pizza place in Songridan-gil with an outdoor patio. Eating outside meant there was plenty of room to park the stroller, so it turned out to be a pretty good outing. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a restaurant to take their baby to :) Perfect for this cool early-fall weather!

Where is Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch, and is the stroller route easy?

Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch is very close to Seokchon Lake. It's right in the backstreet behind the Seokchon Lake café district, so the route works great for pushing a stroller around the lake and then popping in for a light meal.

Our baby loves being comfortable in the Stokke Crusi — it's red, so it stands out a bit, but the baby is so at ease in it that I use it all the time for neighborhood outings.

I started from Lotte World Mall and walked along Seokchon Lake to the café street, then went up and slipped into a backstreet — and there was this lovely-looking pizza place!

There's a wide outdoor patio in front of the restaurant, which looked perfect for beer and pizza in weather that's neither too hot nor too cold these days.

It was a bit hot to be there in the daytime, but since I had the stroller with me, I had no choice but to sit outside.

We arrived just a bit after the lunch rush, so there wasn't much of a wait.

I really wanted a cold beer, but you can't drink while looking after a baby, so I barely held myself back haha.

There's also a space with Pizza Face Off's own hip vibe.

They had the sliding window at the entrance wide open, so even though the place isn't huge, it felt quite spacious.

This is the view of the restaurant from the outdoor table where I ate. It was an outing centered around childcare, but eating in such an atmospheric spot lifted my mood too.

Since it's a chain, there was a lot of branded merchandise on display.

The seats closest to the building stay shaded even during the day, so they're a nice cool spot to enjoy the patio.

Eating outdoors with a baby at midday: how much sun to expect

My good little baby fell right asleep so I could eat in peace, haha. The sun was coming in on the side where the baby was, so I covered it with a cloth diaper — turns out sunlight passes right through cloth, who knew? Because of that, I think my baby's face got a little sunburned and reddish recently. Sorry, baby, your mom didn't know.

The smallest pepperoni pizza and a cola: what we ordered

This was the moment I ordered my all-time favorite pepperoni pizza and waited with my heart pounding haha. Half worried the baby might wake up... the pizza looks so good! And half excited that I was actually out to eat with my baby!

I love pepperoni so I ordered the classic pepperoni pizza. I got the smallest size, and it was just right for one person! I tend to eat a lot in one sitting, so it might be a bit much for most women eating alone!

I'd been drinking coffee, but I was craving something cold and fizzy so I ordered a cola too. It was my first time eating out with my baby, and the outdoor space being so spacious made it a success :)

I was happily eating away when my baby woke up right on cue... Feeling bad, I offered a slice of pizza.

On the way back, we did some window shopping at Lotte World Mall, which is close to the pizza place, haha. When it's just me and the baby every day, the days can start to feel the same, but trying something new like this makes the day feel special 😊 If you can walk to Seokchon Lake or Songridan-gil from home, I really recommend visiting Pizza Face Off Seokchon Lake Branch with your baby.
