Jamsil beef restaurant with rib finger meat and galbitang: Hantiok

This is a place I visit often for family gatherings, and this time around I found out GD and Shin Dong-bin (Lotte's chairman) had apparently eaten here too! Pork galbi, beef — every dish is good, and with a playroom on top of that, it's a great spot near Jamsil and Olympic Park to bring kids to: Hantiok in Bangi-dong.

Where is Hantiok Bangi, and how is parking? Valet for 3,000 won

Hantiok is on the 1st floor of 114 Wirye-seongdae-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul, close to both Bangi Station and Olympic Park Station. There are two parking options: valet, or the paid lot right in front.

It's close to both Bangi Station and Olympic Park Station, and the sign stands out so it was super easy to find! For parking, there's valet or the paid lot right in front, and the prices are pretty much the same (valet: ₩3,000, and there didn't seem to be a separate time limit).

Inside Hantiok: tables, family rooms and a kids' play area

Hantiok is spacious with plenty of tables, and there's a separate room that's great for family gatherings. From the dining area you can see the playroom through a glass wall, which makes it easy to bring kids along.

The place had more tables and more space than I expected, and there was a separate room perfect for family gatherings! I visited on a Saturday, and maybe because the fall weather's been so nice lately, it was already fully booked with families...!! And there was a seat where GD and Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin had apparently sat before 🤎 Next time I make a reservation, I'm definitely booking that exact seat 😂 Other chairs also had notes saying celebrities had sat there, which was honestly pretty fun to look out for haha. Great idea!!

There's a playroom, and it even has a claw machine and arcade games... (parents, watch your wallets haha). You can see the playroom clearly through the glass wall from the dining area, so it seemed like the perfect setup for eating with peace of mind while the kids play!!

Hantiok menu and what we ordered this time

Hantiok's menu also has bossam (boiled pork wrap) and various rice dishes, but what it's known for is pork galbi and beef. This time we ordered two servings of premium beef rib finger meat (2 portions each, ₩26,000), galbitang for ₩19,000, and bibim naengmyeon for dessert at ₩8,000.

Side dishes at Hantiok: self-serve bar with free refills

Plenty of side dishes come out to go with the pork galbi or beef, and all of them can be refilled from the self-serve bar! And since so many families come here, they've got kids' spoons and forks ready too — nice touch 😉

How does the premium beef rib finger meat taste?

Hantiok's premium beef rib finger meat had a gorgeous color right from the start, and the thickness was just right — not tough at all, but soft. We ordered two servings of two portions each, so there was a lot, and we grilled it in four batches.

So gorgeous... with beef, you can tell just from the color whether it's fresh, right? This one had such a gorgeous color and the meat quality looked great. Even the plating sense was on point 🤍

There was more of it than I expected, so we ended up grilling it in four batches...!!! Every time we put a batch on the grill, we'd be drooling over the color lol

It was so, so good. When beef rib meat is too thick, it gets chewy, right? Here it came out at just the right thickness and size, so the meat wasn't tough at all and was really soft!! And the more you chewed, the more the meaty aroma and juices wrapped around your mouth... if you cut it up small for kids, it would probably disappear in the blink of an eye lol. Why did I only now get around to trying beef rib at Hantiok...😭 🫶🏻 close-up bite 🫶🏻

It's great eaten with the side dishes too, but on its own — dipped lightly in just salt or wasabi — this beef rib meat basically melts in your mouth. Melts. 🤎

Finishing with galbitang and bibim naengmyeon

Hantiok's galbitang (₩19,000) had generous, tender meat on the rib bone and a great broth. The bibim naengmyeon for dessert (₩8,000) didn't have particularly chewy noodles, but the sauce was so good it paired well with the leftover beef ribs.

Even after filling up on meat, there's always room for the meal course, right haha. The weather's been getting colder lately, so my husband ordered galbitang — next time I want to come back just for lunch and order only that lol. The meat on the rib bone was so generous and tender, and the broth tasted so good that I kept stealing bites 👀 haha

At a Korean BBQ place, the bibim naengmyeon really, really matters — and this one was good. The noodles aren't super chewy like chewy buckwheat naengmyeon, they're more on the soft side, but somehow it's still delicious...? Maybe it's the sauce, because eating it with the leftover beef rib meat was seriously amazing, and even grabbing a rib bone from my husband's galbitang to eat alongside it was so good lol. Don't worry, just order the bibim naengmyeon — you won't regret it!!!

Is Hantiok worth it for a family meal near Jamsil?

With a spacious, clean space and even a kids' playroom, Hantiok was great for a family meal or dining with parents! The side dishes come out generously too, and self-refilling was super convenient. I usually come here for pork galbi, and that's genuinely delicious, but I have to ask myself why I waited so long to try the beef ribs (premium rib finger meat) — gorgeous color from the start, not tough at all, soft and delicious!! For a family gathering or a relaxed meat meal near Jamsil, Bangi, or Olympic Park, I fully, fully recommend Hantiok!! (Easy parking is a plus too!!)
