The moment I walked up, the exterior gave off major good-restaurant vibes 💛 Inside, it was surprisingly spacious with a separate room too. I went on the weekend and it was packed, so I'd really recommend booking ahead! If I hadn't reserved, it could've been a disaster..!!

At Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch we ordered lamb ribs, kkodeulsal (chewy pork jowl meat), scored pork belly skin, and the hangover sujebi (hand-torn noodle soup). The moment we sat down, I studied the menu closely! Snowflake ribs, lamb ribs, kkodeulsal, odol galbi, scored pork skin — so many cuts to choose from that I had the happiest kind of dilemma 🙈 Couldn't skip the BEST menu items, right~? And of course, no meat meal is complete without somaek (soju-beer cocktail), so we ordered that too!

If the side dishes run low, you can grab more from the self-serve bar! Pickled onions, perilla leaves, shredded radish, ssamjang (dipping paste) — a well-stocked lineup. The pickled onions were so good with the meat~

The lamb ribs at Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch had zero gamey smell, and got more savory the more you chewed. First up was lamb ribs 🐑 — even raw, it looked totally delicious?! Expectations at 200%! I already love lamb ribs, and hearing this place was famous made me even more excited!! 😆

Here's a tip: score the lamb lightly with a knife so it grills evenly all the way through and locks in the juices. It came out crispy outside and juicy inside 👍 I'd worried about the smell, but there was none at all, and it just kept getting more savory with every bite — my chopsticks kept going back for more!

How kkodeulsal and scored pork belly skin taste and chew

The kkodeulsal at Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch had a crunchy bite that made it perfect for drinking, and the scored pork belly skin was savory dipped in soybean powder. Next up was kkodeulsal! 🥹 As it grilled, the chewiness was insane 🔥 So crunchy that it was the ultimate drinking snack. I could see why it's a BEST menu item....!! Definitely ordering this again next time!

Then we ordered the scored pork belly skin too, and once the smoky char hit it on the grill, it was crispy outside, tender inside 😋 The fat rendered just enough, leaving only the savoriness and chewiness — I kept wanting more! Dipped in soybean powder, it was so nutty and delicious 😋 Craving it again already...haha

Finishing with hangover mulberry-leaf tteolregi sujebi

After eating our fill of meat, we finished with the hangover mulberry-leaf tteolregi sujebi (hand-torn noodle soup). The broth was deep and spicy — perfect for curing a hangover. The fiery broth was loaded with vegetables and really hit the spot! And of course, more somaek! As tradition dictates, we mixed Terra beer with Jinro soju for a toast 🍻 Paired together, it was the best combo yet!!
