Giheung bakery café in Yongin with window-wall views: Terreno Cité

In short

Terreno Cité Special (떼레노시떼 스페셜점) is a large two-story bakery café on Giheung-danji-ro in Giheung-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi. On a weekday afternoon I took a window seat on the second floor and ordered sweet potato pie, squid ink roll cheese bread and mocha chewy bread with the signature milk foam dutch latte, a vanilla latte and an affogato. With parking in front and beside the building plus group tables and outdoor seats, Terreno Cité Special works well as a drive-out café near Giheung Outlets.

Exterior view of Terreno Cité Special, a large café in Giheung, Yongin

Terreno Cité Special is a large café that's easy to stop by near Giheung Outlets. It's also close to Giheung Lake and Dongtan in Suwon, and parking is convenient, so it made for a great drive-course stop! Here's my visit review of Terreno Cité — full window view, great coffee, and great bread all in one :)

Where is Terreno Cité Special, and is there parking?

I visited this large Giheung café on a weekday afternoon. Terreno cité is apparently Spanish for land, soil, ground. It's said to carry the meaning of wanting to serve coffee brewed directly from one's own land, one's own space (I looked it up because I was curious, haha).

The exterior alone has great atmosphere and photographs well. There's a parking lot right in front of the store, and if it's full, there's a second lot just down the side of the building, so parking really isn't something to worry about.

Inside Terreno Cité Special: two floors and group tables

Inside, Terreno Cité is two stories, with high ceilings and a genuinely spacious layout, so there were plenty of seats. From 4-person tables to group seating for 6 or more, this is a large café that can easily handle group visits. The vivid-colored interior was a nice touch too ✨

Bread and coffee menu at Terreno Cité Special

True to a Giheung bakery café, the bread selection was varied — salt bread, ciabatta, croissants, cream bread, cakes, and more, plus drinks kids can have, haha. We went for coffee but couldn't resist and ended up buying three breads...

Terreno Cité's coffee menu is varied too. From basic Americanos, lattes, and cold brew to a range of drip coffee options. There were also plenty of non-coffee options — ade, smoothies, herbal tea, ice cream — so it'd be great for group visits too.

They also sell coffee cups and coffee beans 👀 it was fun browsing the pretty cups. Open the back door you see in the photo and it leads out to the outdoor space!

And out comes this pretty outdoor space🌿 Now that the weather's cooling down, sitting outside with a coffee sounds great.

Do the second-floor window seats photograph well?

Terreno Cité's 2nd-floor full window view

Head up to the 2nd floor at Terreno Cité and this full window view greets you. Terreno Cité really is a spot for great photos and a great view! Visiting on a sunny day made it even better.

Got some photos taken of my mom too 📸 It photographs well without going backlit, better than I expected. If you come with your parents, they'll love it for sure.

There were plenty of seats upstairs too, so we settled in on the 2nd floor. I saw people there alone working or studying, and sitting by the window on the 2nd floor really does feel calming and easy to focus in, haha.

How the three breads and the milk foam dutch latte tasted

A lot of large bakery cafés these days have great views but so-so taste, but Terreno Cité in Giheung nailed both bread and coffee. We ordered these three: sweet potato pie, squid ink roll cheese bread, and mocha chewy bread — all three were pleasantly not-too-sweet and had a clean, satisfying flavor! Next time I'd like to try the slice cakes too. For coffee we got the signature milk foam dutch latte, vanilla latte, and affogato, and all of them were a hit,,👍

Coffee competition trophies filling a 1st-floor wall

On the way out I noticed the wall on the 1st floor packed with trophies. Turns out they've placed in multiple coffee competitions 😲 No wonder the coffee was so good, haha.

With restrooms inside, plenty of group seating, and sunlight pouring in throughout for a great atmosphere, Terreno Cité is a large Giheung café worth the visit. Easy parking and a comfortable place to stay a while — I'd recommend it as a stop on a Suwon/Dongtan drive course, and to anyone looking for a good café near Giheung Outlets, do check out Terreno Cité in Giheung!
