I hadn't been on an Apgujeong date with my mom in a while, so I wanted to give her fingertips a pretty little upgrade — we headed to Naeil Didi, a nail salon in Apgujeong Rodeo.

I especially loved spotting a phone stand set up neatly at every nail station — such a thoughtful touch. You'll never get bored scrolling through your phone while your nails are being done.

That day, my mom's pick was a feminine pearl nail with a subtle, alluring shimmer. After a bit of consultation, she settled on a shade she loved, and the real care began. The price was ₩50,000 for the base gel manicure, plus ₩10,000 for the pearl add-on!

Once the actual service started, the nail care itself was handled with real thoroughness first.

Even before any color went on, her nails already looked unbelievably clean and neat just from the prep alone — my mom kept marveling at it.

The coloring that followed was just as careful, applied and cured smoothly and evenly so no brush marks or bumps were left behind.
