A quiet alley café, a walk from Yeontral Park
I visited Jitheunsan, a Yeonnam-dong dessert café~ It’s in a quiet alley you’ll reach after taking Exit 3 of Hongik University Station and strolling along Yeontral Park in Yeonnam-dong for about 15 minutes! 👋🏻 From the entrance, it already felt calm, quiet, and beautifully atmospheric haha.

The café isn’t huge, but it uses the space so well that there were more seats than I expected! There are floor-to-ceiling window seats at the front, plus a larger area inside with sofa seating~ It felt so cozy and perfect for a date! 🩷🩷

Isn’t the shared table in the middle of the café so pretty too? ..💕 The wood-toned interior and the plants placed throughout created such a lovely, harmonious feel! The owner’s eye for aesthetics was totally my taste 👍🏻

Drinks and terrine cake menu
Here’s a photo of Jitheunsan’s drink menu~ There was a good variety of coffees, and it was helpful that you could see photos of the drinks when ordering. There were lots of non-coffee options too, so it seems great for people who don’t drink coffee. A takeout iced Americano is ₩3,500, so it would also be nice to grab one to go.

As you’d expect from a café famous for desserts in Yeonnam-dong, there were so many choices that I couldn’t take my eyes off them ..❤️ Terrine cakes are the main focus here, and I loved how many different fruits they used! I chose the autumn fig terrine~

Fig cream cheese terrine taste
I ordered the fig cream cheese terrine cake, made for the autumn season, along with an Americano~ 👏🏻 Since Jitheunsan is such a dessert spot, I heard that its dessert lineup keeps changing with the fruits that come into season!

Fresh figs were perched so prettily on top of the cream cheese terrine cake, so it looked gorgeous from the start—and the little Jitheunsan sign stuck into the cake was adorable! 🥺

Beyond the figs on top, the terrine cake was also filled with plenty of fig pieces, so the texture was really goodㅠㅠ The cream cheese flavor was quite pronounced too, making it sweet, rich, and delicious!!! It made me think I absolutely have to visit each season and try the other cakes too hahaha 👍 This truly earns its dessert-café reputation ..❤️❤️

I went with an Americano, which pairs nicely with cheesecake~ Besides Americanos, there were lots of drinks such as salt lattes, lemonicanos, and matcha schu-penners, so if you come in a group, try ordering different ones to taste!

Even these cute tea coasters, which seemed to be made by Jitheunsan itself, were completely my tasteㅠㅠ Aren’t the colors so adorable and thoughtfully done? ❤️ I loved every little detail at this café, and I’m planning to stop by again next time I’m in Yeonnam-dong haha. I recommend Jitheunsan 👍
