While looking for a good tteokbokki spot in Yeouido, I visited Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch (현선이네 프리미엄 IFC몰점)! Yeouido Station is connected to IFC Mall underground, so it was easy to get there without going outside, haha. Hyeonseonine is famous in Yongsan, so I was excited to find it in Yeouido too~~!

Hyeonseonine Premium on IFC Mall's lower level
There was a standing menu board at the entrance where I could see everything at a glance!! From tteokbokki to sundae, fried snacks, and set menus, there were so many choices that I spent a while looking through them~! It seemed perfect for when you want to eat a few different Korean snack dishes together in Yeouido~
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is on B2 of IFC Mall, at 10 Gukjegeumyung-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, haha. Follow the underground moving walkway toward Exit 3 of Yeouido Station and it connects directly to IFC Mall~~. It is open from 11:00 to 21:00 on weekdays and 12:00 to 21:00 on weekends, so keep that in mind!!

You order first at the kiosk by the entrance~! It was easy to choose while looking at the photos!! We wanted to try a range of things together, so we picked the Hyeonseonine Combo Set~

There was also a large menu on the inner wall, so I looked through it again while waiting~~! They had everything from sets to tteokbokki, sundae, assorted fried snacks, and made-to-order tteokbokki~~. You can choose mild, medium, or spicy tteokbokki to suit your taste! The selection also looked good for a quick lunch at IFC Mall in Yeouido, haha.

A poster about Hyeonseonine's history on the wall also caught my eye, haha. Apparently, it started as a small street stall in front of Yongsan Station in 2004 and has continued for over 20 years now~!? Seeing that long history at a Yeouido tteokbokki spot made me even more curious about the food, hehe.

On one side, there were posters for a review event and the launch of crispy chili pepper fritters, hehe. Even though I had already ordered, the new-menu poster made me a little curious about those pepper fritters, haha. If you visit, check for any current events before ordering!

Seating and the self-service bar
The inside was clean, with a comfortable atmosphere for sitting down to eat!! There were seats, so it looked easy enough for a solo meal or a casual Korean snack meal for two~~! It was also conveniently located if you are checking out restaurants around The Hyundai Seoul and pop over to IFC Mall~

You can pick up whatever you need at the self-service bar~! There were danmuji (pickled yellow radish), side plates, salt, saeujeot (salted shrimp), wet wipes, utensils, and paper cups~~. They also had aprons, which was nice to grab before eating tteokbokki, haha.

The Hyeonseonine Combo Set and boiled eggs
Finally, our Hyeonseonine Combo Set arrived as a full spread~! True to a Yeouido tteokbokki favorite, it gathered tteokbokki, sundae, fried snacks, and rice balls all in one Korean snack combination~~. Just looking at it made me feel full already, thinking about alternating bites of everything~~! It was satisfying for two as we could taste a little of everything instead of ordering just one dish~
Naturally, the tteokbokki was the first thing I reached for, haha. There was plenty of sauce, so every rice cake came up nicely coated, haha. It was sweet and spicy, and I could see why people look for this as a Yeouido tteokbokki spot!

The fried snacks came in several varieties too, so it was fun choosing one at a time~! The outside was crisp, while each filling had a different texture, which made them enjoyable to eat~! Tteokbokki feels incomplete without fried snacks, and of course they went so well together!!

I also tried dipping each fried snack in soy sauce, hehe. Unlike eating them with the tteokbokki sauce, that let the savory flavor of the fritters themselves come through more clearly~! Going back and forth among the varieties, the plate emptied in no time~~!

The sundae (Korean blood sausage) came properly with offal too~! Alternating chewy sundae with liver and lung made it even more varied!! There was salted shrimp and salt at the self-service bar, so it was easy to season it however you like, haha.

The rice balls were great to eat between bites of spicy tteokbokki~~! They were savory and easy to enjoy on their own, but also paired nicely with a little tteokbokki sauce! With rice included, it was quite a filling meal even though it was Korean snack food, haha.

We also added two boiled eggs to the tteokbokki~. When you mix a little tteokbokki sauce into the yolk, the heat softens and it becomes savory, you know, hehe. It tasted different from eating only the rice cakes, so I was glad we added the eggs, hehe.

At the end, I thoroughly coated even the fried snacks and sundae in the tteokbokki sauce~! I think Korean snack food is best when you eat it all together with lots of sauce like this~~. The fried snacks and sundae turned sweet and spicy too, so we ate every last bite~~! If you love the tteokbokki, sundae, and fried-snack combination, this photo probably shows just how happily we ate!!
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch was great for enjoying tteokbokki, sundae, fried snacks, and rice balls all at once~! I think I will remember it on days when I want a filling Korean snack meal while looking for a Yeouido tteokbokki spot, haha. It would be good for lunch at IFC Mall, or before or after browsing The Hyundai Seoul too, haha. The combination that stayed with me most was definitely coating the fried snacks and sundae in the tteokbokki sauce!
