Korean restaurant by D-Cube Art Center: jokbal, Sindorim Sambaekga
In short
Sindorim Sambaekga is a Korean restaurant in Guro, Seoul, right across from Sindorim Station and D-Cube Art Center, serving jokbal (braised pig's trotters) and bossam (boiled pork with wraps) made from domestic fresh pork legs, plus handmade kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup). After seeing the musical Gwanghwamun Yeonga at D-Cube Art Center, the writer and a friend ordered Busan naengchae jokbal (cold jokbal with tangy vegetables), spicy Sambaek kalguksu and Jipyeong makgeolli, and the tangy cold jokbal paired especially well with the spicy kimchi-and-bean-sprout broth. Sindorim Sambaekga is an easy choice for dinner after a show or a get-together in Sindorim.

My friend and I watched the musical Gwanghwamun Yeonga at D-Cube Art Center and topped off the night with a great dinner. The actors' performances and the familiar songs pulled me right in — I was completely absorbed. Once the show ended, I got hungry for something hearty, so we headed just across the street to Sindorim Sambaekga.
Sindorim Sambaekga serves jokbal (pig's trotters) and bossam (boiled pork wraps) made from domestic fresh-leg pork, alongside handmade kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup). This time we ordered Busan naengchae jokbal (cold jokbal salad), spicy Sambaek kalguksu, and Jipyeong makgeolli. The combination of the tangy, generous naengchae jokbal and the spicy, refreshing kalguksu broth was especially good. I'd recommend it to anyone near Sindorim Station looking for a meal, a drink, or a spot for a get-together.

Where is Sindorim Sambaekga, and how close is it to D-Cube Art Center?
Sindorim Sambaekga is located at 1F, Unit 118, Sindorim Prugio 1st Complex, 661 Gyeongin-ro, Guro-gu, Seoul. After the show at D-Cube Art Center, I didn't need to search around for a jokbal-bossam restaurant near Sindorim — it was right there. It's also easy to reach from Sindorim Station, and being on the ground floor made it simple to find.
True to its word-of-mouth reputation, customers kept streaming in. Luckily we got seated right away without waiting. The table setup looked well suited for people looking for a spot for a Sindorim gathering or a work dinner. Group dining and reservations are apparently available too, so it's worth checking ahead if you're planning something.

Ordering by QR code at Sindorim Sambaekga: what we chose that day
Ordering at Sindorim Sambaekga was easy — just scan the QR code on the table and order from your phone. I liked being able to browse the menu at my own pace and order right away. That day we picked the newer items: Busan naengchae jokbal, spicy Sambaek kalguksu, and Jipyeong makgeolli. Jokbal, kalguksu, and makgeolli — the perfect combo to fill the hunger and good mood left over from the show.

Busan naengchae jokbal: how it tastes and the best way to eat it
The Busan naengchae jokbal arrived first and looked generous from the start. Thinly sliced jokbal came topped with a generous drizzle of the restaurant's own sauce, along with egg strips, cucumber, jellyfish, and konjac noodles. Regular jokbal is great, but this cold version with fresh, bright ingredients had a different vibe from the very first bite.

My favorite way to eat it was piling jokbal onto lettuce and perilla leaves along with jellyfish, egg strips, and cucumber. Add garlic, chili, and ssamjang (thick seasoned soy-bean paste) to taste and eat it in one bite — the crunchy vegetables and the chewy, tender jokbal worked really well together. The tangy, savory sauce cut through the richness, so I kept reaching for more.
If you're the type who feels regular jokbal alone is a bit much when looking for jokbal-bossam near Sindorim, definitely try the Busan naengchae jokbal. The portion is generous but the flavor isn't heavy, which made it great to share with makgeolli between two people. It's a dish that doesn't get old easily, so I'd happily order it again.

Spicy Sambaek kalguksu and the self-serve barley rice bar
The spicy Sambaek kalguksu also exceeded expectations. With kimchi and bean sprouts in it, the broth was spicy yet refreshing — great for anyone who likes a fiery broth, and equally suited to anyone nursing a hangover from the night before. Pairing the warm broth with jokbal and bossam also balanced out the meal nicely.

The noodles are reportedly handmade kalguksu using domestic fresh noodle dough. The strands were bouncy yet chewy, and I kept eating them along with the broth. Even with a fairly generous portion, I finished the whole bowl in the end. I imagine choosing a kalguksu set as a Sindorim lunch option would be plenty filling too.

Order the kalguksu and you can also enjoy barley rice from the self-serve zone. Mix it with yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi), gochujang, and sesame oil and it becomes its own little meal. A spoonful of kalguksu broth, a bite of barley rice, a piece of naengchae jokbal — the combination worked better than I expected. On a day you want to eat until you're full, this setup would be really satisfying.
Hongsi geotjeori (persimmon salad), banchan and the fresh pork legs
Among the side dishes, the hongsi geotjeori (fresh kimchi made with ripe persimmon) stood out the most. It's apparently made fresh daily with persimmon mixed in, and it had a gentle sweetness and crisp texture. Eaten alongside jokbal or bossam, it brought out the meat's flavor even more, and it went well with the kalguksu too. I got the sense that no side dish here was an afterthought.
Sindorim Sambaekga reportedly boils carefully selected, top-grade domestic fresh-leg pork daily and sells it the same day. Unlike jokbal with a strong herbal-medicine scent, theirs leans savory and deep in flavor, they say. For bossam, they reportedly use yakgampork and pork belly raised on Sangju persimmons, with mulberry leaf powder added — so on my next visit I definitely want to try the signature jokbal and bossam too.

For anyone looking for a Sindorim drinking spot or a restaurant with a private-room-bar vibe who wants a proper meal rather than just drinks, this place fits well. You can enjoy makgeolli alongside jokbal, bossam, and kalguksu, which makes it suitable for dinner with friends, family outings, or work gatherings.
