It's terrace season these days, right? Summer-to-fall weather this good doesn't last long, so I rushed over to People the Terrace, a terrace restaurant hot spot in Apgujeong Rodeo 🎂🥂 They have a birthday party zone and the terrace is gorgeous and the interior vibe is pretty too, so the atmosphere really stood out.

From the entrance to the dining room: what People the Terrace looks like

It's a big white building with 'People the Terrace' written simply on it, so it was easy to find. With a European stucco feel, even the stairs going up were pretty, so climbing them felt exciting 🌝

The outside is simple white tones, but inside is a combination of soft lighting and plant interior — even though it's indoors, it felt comfortable and open like an outdoor terrace. Now I get why it's called People the Terrace 🌿

After waiting a bit at the entrance, a staff member checked our reservation and showed us in.

Oh, this is that artwork I'd seen a lot on Instagram — seeing it in person felt nice. You could tell the owner keeps updating and taking care of the interior.

The lighting wasn't too dark, just softly bright. Instead of plain yellow light, different colored lights were mixed in, giving a sunset-like feel that made the atmosphere even more special.

The interior was much bigger than I expected. The sofas are comfortable too, so it seemed great for group gatherings where you sit and chat for a long time. In fact, the place was full of groups for all kinds of occasions — gatherings, birthday parties, blind dates, foreign guests, you name it.

There's a variety of table concepts, so it looked great for using differently depending on the purpose of the gathering. Honestly, at a get-together with people you haven't seen in a while, atmosphere matters more than the food!

Doesn't it really look like the outdoors?! Right in the middle of People the Terrace's interior is a big fountain, with sofas and bar seating arranged variously around it. Large green plants form an arch around the fountain, giving off outdoor-wedding and European-garden vibes.

💬 Apparently the space actually gets rented out for small weddings too.

Under the Moët & Chandon logo there's a bar corner with sparkling crystal lighting, which looked like a great spot for a cocktail. It seemed nice to sit at the bar for atmosphere, and the soft lighting made for great photos too.

The indoor space flows naturally into the outdoor terrace with soft lighting throughout, and the high ceilings give it a sense of openness — I loved how the indoor and outdoor spaces connect so naturally. Even the indoor space looks this pretty from outside 🌿💚

Since the weather was nice, we booked a terrace table. There were blind date guests and family guests too — with weather like this, terrace is a must…🤍🥂

What is on the menu at People the Terrace

The dining menu at People the Terrace is divided into starters, mains (steak, pasta, risotto), and snacks/desserts. The starters included bacon caesar salad, endive shrimp salad, burrata salad, and basil scallop.

  • Starters: Bacon caesar salad / Endive shrimp salad / Burrata salad / Basil scallop
  • Mains (steak, pasta, risotto): ⭐️L-bone steak / Korean beef 1++ striploin steak / Lamb rack steak / Duck breast steak / Shrimp aglio olio / ⭐️Burrata basil pesto pasta / Shrimp hot rosé / Pomodoro basil pesto / Uni pasta / Truffle coulis paccheri / ⭐️Sweet shrimp roe pasta / Gorgonzola cream conchiglie / Truffle cream gnocchi / Gochujang butter carbonara / Mushroom cream tartufo risotto & steak / Beef brisket kimchi fried rice
  • Snacks & desserts: Fruit & charcuterie / Fried chicken bucket / Melon prosciutto / Pastry sweet brie cheese pizza / Jambon burrata open sandwich / Shrimp avocado open sandwich / Truffle fries / Campagne

Honestly this place is known for atmosphere so I didn't expect much from the food, but since both dishes we ordered were hits, I bet the whole menu is good.

Terrace seats and the bug spray on the table

The terrace tables at People the Terrace are decorated with simple white tones and plant interior. Beyond the building you can see toward Dosan-daero, and with the soft lighting the atmosphere was great.

Since it was a terrace seat, I worried bugs might come out as the evening went on, but there was already bug repellent spray sitting on the table. It felt like they really pay attention to the guests' comfort — I was impressed.

I wanted something cold so we each ordered a Stella and a Hoegaarden draft. Stella and Hoegaarden on draft, need I say more… it's rare to find a place that even serves Stella on draft, so I ordered it the second I saw it. It was nice to have after a while 🍻

How the endive shrimp salad tasted

We ordered two dishes: the endive shrimp salad and the mushroom cream tartufo risotto & steak.

Endive shrimp salad and draft beer set on the table

The endive shrimp salad came out first — made with the European mini-cabbage endive, shrimp, avocado, and aioli sauce, it let the natural flavors shine, not too strong, just clean and fresh. The crunch of the endive paired with the perfectly grilled, plump shrimp, and the aioli sauce added a rich but light finish that kept me reaching for more. Especially since it was packed with shrimp, I could eat one shrimp per bite endlessly 🦐🦐

Mushroom cream tartufo risotto & steak, reviewed

Next was the mushroom cream tartufo risotto & steak. It's risotto topped with Korean beef 1++ steak, and the aroma was insane 😬 My husband doesn't like truffle so I almost didn't order it, but another table ordered it and the smell kept drifting over!!! So I ordered it right after.

The mushroom aroma was rich and the sauce soaked well into each grain of rice, so it was delicious bite after bite. The steak was medium rare, just barely pink, which made it a nice way to sample the steak.

Once the sunset faded and it turned properly into evening, the atmosphere got even better. This temperature… this humidity… anyway, love it 🌝

Special shoutout — the bathroom had a hair dryer, hair ties, mouthwash, cotton swabs, basically everything you might need, so it earns extra bonus points.

How to book the birthday party zone

If you reserve the birthday party zone at People the Terrace, you get to use a table decorated with balloons. If you want birthday photos, I'd recommend booking the birthday party seat! The balloons were genuinely pretty. You know, the kind of balloons that are pretty even among balloons 🙄

It was great for an anniversary dinner, but seeing the atmosphere, I could totally understand why so many people also come here for blind dates or regular dates.

Can you book People the Terrace for groups or private events?

People the Terrace has a multi-level structure spanning the 1st to 3rd floors, allowing for a variety of moods, and it can reportedly seat up to 300 people. It's also available for venue rental for weddings, after-parties, pop-ups, and brand launch parties, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a great-atmosphere space in Apgujeong Rodeo 🌝
