Gangnam group-table lunch for crab risotto and katsu sando: Eulji

In short

Eulji Darak Gangnam Station is a Western-style restaurant near Gangnam Station in Seoul serving pasta, risotto and gnocchi. A lunch visit brought spicy crab risotto, corn gnocchi and katsu sando, with bright lighting that took the edge off a first meeting and group tables seating 5 to 10 people. It works well for blind dates, wedding-invitation gatherings and lunch outings alike, though there's no dedicated parking, so public transit is the easier option.

If you're looking for a blind date or date spot near Gangnam Station, Eulji Darak Gangnam Station was pretty good — bright, cheerful atmosphere for enjoying pasta and gnocchi. On the day I visited for lunch, there were date-night couples all the way up to an 8-person group dinner going on.

The bright lighting kept the space from feeling stuffy even on a first meeting, and it was easy to share several dishes across the table. It seemed well suited not just for a Gangnam Station blind date but also for wedding-invitation gatherings or a tidy lunch outing.

Eulji Darak Gangnam Station's location and parking

Eulji Darak Gangnam Station is on the 2nd floor at 22 Gangnam-daero 96-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It's walkable from Gangnam Station, so it's an easy meeting spot, and checking a map makes finding the exact entrance simple.

There's no dedicated parking at the restaurant, so public transit beats driving. If you do drive, it's worth checking the location and rates of nearby paid lots first, like the Yeoksam Culture Park public parking lot or the underground lot at CGV Gangnam.

Atmosphere — bright lighting that takes the pressure off a first meeting

Walking in, the bright lighting and cheerful interior were the first things I noticed. Compared to a dimmer restaurant I'd been to before, I could actually see the other person's expression clearly, which made it feel like less pressure for a Gangnam Station date or a first blind date.

During my meal, there was also a group of 8 having a lunch dinner at the group table. It fit the current mood better than an overly formal dinner — chatting while sharing good food. Group tables seating 5 to 10 people are listed, so it's worth booking ahead for a wedding-invitation gathering too.

What's on the menu

At Eulji Darak, you can mix and match several Western dishes together — pasta, risotto, gnocchi, steak, and omelet rice.

I ordered the spicy crab risotto, katsu sando, and corn gnocchi — the flavors and appearances were different enough that sharing them was fun.

If you're after Gangnam Station pasta, the signature pasta menu is worth checking out, and if you're visiting with a group, it's great for ordering a variety of risotto, gnocchi, and steak.

Taste review

Spicy crab risotto topped with snow crab legs and egg yolk

Spicy crab risotto

The spicy crab risotto came topped with snow crab legs and a fresh egg yolk. The cream sauce's soft flavor was followed by a kick of spice, and mixing in the yolk added a rich, savory depth.

It was less greasy than a regular cream risotto I'd had before, so I could eat it comfortably to the last bite.

Corn gnocchi

The corn gnocchi was striking just from the whole cob of chodang sweet corn (a Korean summer sweet corn variety) placed on top. The gnocchi was chewy yet soft, with a distinct potato flavor. Paired with a sauce like a sweet corn soup, the softness and chewiness worked well together.

Katsu sando

The katsu sando stood out for the thick pork cutlet tucked between the bread. It was cut into easy, bite-sized pieces, so sharing it felt low-pressure even on a blind date.

The coleslaw on the side cut through the richness of the katsu nicely — a good combination.

Overall verdict — from blind dates to lunch outings

Eulji Darak Gangnam Station was a restaurant where I could enjoy a variety of Western dishes in a bright, clean space.

During my lunch visit, couples and group parties blended naturally, and it seemed useful for anything from a blind date to a wedding-invitation gathering or lunch outing. That said, there's no dedicated parking, and seats can get crowded during peak hours.
