₩3,000 earlobe piercing at a Jamsil underground mall shop: Simkung

Yesterday I went to Jamsil to catch a movie with my sister, and while I was waiting for her I had some time to kill. My ears have been getting irritated lately so I stopped wearing earrings, but a friend told me switching to surgical steel fixed that for her. I didn't own any surgical steel earrings, so I went to Simkung Piercing Jamsil near Jamsil Station to buy some!

And the piercing prices are just... why so cheap?! I remember paying ₩5,000 for a single earlobe piercing once, but here it's ₩3,000. If you're looking for a place to get your ears pierced in Jamsil, this is it... 😭

This side had silver 92.5 on display, and just from what was laid out you could tell there was a huge range of earring designs.

There were earrings and piercings of course, but also rings — I thought a piercing shop in Jamsil would only carry ear-related items, haha.

This was 14k gold, and it's true what they say — the designs just look so much more luxurious… ✨ I want to come back and buy 14k gold when I have some money to spare!

There were also necklaces and bracelets, and I spotted a necklace with that string-plus-pebble look I wanted to wear this summer? If I'd known, I would have bought it here… 🫠

The surgical steel corner I came for, because my ears get irritated

And here's the surgical steel section I came to buy from! Even just looking at this you can see how many designs there are, right? Looking back now, that butterfly one is so pretty… when the owner recommended it as a bestseller, I was looking for something plain, but now looking at the photo again it's just so pretty ㅜㅜ♥

There were so many designs that I was seriously struggling to decide, so the owner let me take pieces off the display and hold them up to my ear, and gave recommendations based on my taste.

There was also a piercing design like industrial piercings that go straight through — so fascinating, haha. Something I'll never be brave enough to get in my life…

But piercings connected like this with two linked pieces really are pretty. My friends used to get a lot of these back in the day, and I always envied them… 🔥

Swapping in an earring post and disinfecting: how clean is it?

Once I picked out my earring, I sat in a chair and waited while she swapped the piercing post for an earring post. The doll-shaped piercing display in front was so hip… ♥ way too cute for words.

If anything applies to you during a piercing procedure, make sure to mention it! I didn't realize she disinfects even during a swap, so I mentioned my ears were already pierced, and she said she was disinfecting anyway — I felt a bit embarrassed, haha… They really take hygiene seriously here, everyone.
