I was looking for somewhere to keep the night going for round two, and the moment I walked in, this Yeouido izakaya completely surprised me with its vibe.🧡
Despite having plenty of tables, the place was packed with couples on dates, and I barely managed to grab the last counter seat.
"No wonder it's popular" — I thought as I looked at the menu, the food was great value and, unusually for the Yeouido area, the drink prices were reasonable too. I found myself thinking, "I should have started here from round one!" Contrary to my expectation of an office-worker dinner crowd, every seat was filled with couples on dates//
I think it's because each table is separated by partitions, making it easy to have a conversation.
- ✔️Yeouido hot spot (tables full)
- ✔️Great date atmosphere with a traditional bar feel

What the room feels like: a lively Japanese tavern in Yeouido

When you open the door, there's a large U-shaped dachi (bar counter) right in the center, with regular table seating generously arranged along the back and walls. Sake bottles and Japanese-style posters hang on the walls, giving it exactly the traditional izakaya feel you'd want to stop by after work. The lighting isn't too bright, just slightly dim, which made it perfect for sitting across from someone and chatting comfortably.

The set composition was generous, and the draft beer and Ilpum Jinro were great value. Prices for drinks here were reasonable even compared to other izakayas in the Yeouido area, so there was little pressure on the wallet during drinks!!

The 44,000 won 2-set: mixed skewers plus mixed fritters

A griddle-fried egg comes as a default side, one per person! It was cooked slightly soft, which was perfect for settling my empty stomach before the alcohol hit.

Mixed fritters: oyster, squid, shrimp, karaage and croquette
The mixed fritter plate came out generously on a large dish! No greasy smell at all, the batter stayed crisp, and dipping it lightly in the accompanying tempura soy sauce made it wonderfully savory.
- Potato croquette
- Squid fritter
- Shrimp fritter
- Karaage
- Oyster fritter

I didn't expect to meet oyster fritter here, and honestly every single fritter had a clean, light taste!
Mixed skewers grilled over charcoal in front of the counter seats
Next up came the grilled skewers. Since I got a counter seat, I could watch the staff grilling them over charcoal, and when they came out I got to say, "Ours is here!"
They were grilled well, so it wasn't dry but moist, and the subtle smoky char on the outside paired perfectly with the salty seasoning. Absolutely delicious ~

The composition was really good, right?

The salty flavor of the skewers and the crispiness of the fritters made the draft beer and soju go down so smoothly. As round-two food, this combo was excellent.
Is Robadayakki Sodam worth it for a second round in Yeouido?
From the default fried egg to the smoky charcoal skewers and crispy fritters, I left satisfied without any complaints. This is a great spot to stop by in Yeouido when you want a relaxed drinking atmosphere with good-value Japanese-style food.
I was so satisfied that I'm planning to go again this week! Thanks for the meal
