Paju café for latte and financier takeout: Pound Coffee

There are seriously so many cafés in Unjeong, but if I’m making time to go out for a café drink, it’s just so nice to go somewhere delicious, right..?! So I looked around and found a café with great lattes. They also sell baked desserts, and when I had a financier with a latte this time, it was sooo good?! I’m introducing it right away...

Parking and atmosphere at Pound Coffee Unjeong Main Branch

This is Pound Coffee Unjeong Main Branch, a café in Unjeong. I couldn’t photograph the exterior, but you can find exterior photos in other bloggers’ reviews anyway.,.! What matters is Pound Coffee’s coffee and desserts, right..? Hahaha Anyway, this café has parking right in front..! Small independent cafés often have no parking, or even if they do, you have to deal with going into a building parking lot, but at Pound Coffee Unjeong Main Branch, there’s a parking space in front, so you can simply park there! I visited on a weekday evening, and there was plenty of space!!

I went inside. It was almost closing time, but there were still quite a few customers. Some were on laptops and others were chatting with people they knew; it was a calm, quiet café, which I really liked..! Last order at Pound Coffee Unjeong is 7:30 p.m.!

It looked like they had paid attention to every little interior detail. The décor was so stylish, the atmosphere was lovely, and the lighting was pretty too, so photos came out well...! I wanted to snap a selfie, but I’m extremely introverted lol, so I skipped the selfie and quickly photographed the inside instead. Doesn’t the atmosphere look amazing even just in the photos?? It felt a bit like a Pinterest-style café...!

Lattes with a choice of acidity, plus the menu

Here’s the drink menu! There were more options than I expected, so I had to think for a bit, but the prices were reasonable, making it nice to have one drink in the café and take another one to go! At Pound Coffee Unjeong, you can choose your coffee beans too!!! You can choose between beans with acidity and without. Acidity is often what makes people love or hate a coffee, so a café where you can choose it,,,, is truly precious,..! I’d heard it was known for lattes before visiting, so I simply ordered an iced latte and a vanilla bean latte! I wanted to order the Paju Jangdan soybean cream latte, but it takes a little time to make, so I’ll save that Paju Jangdan soybean cream latte for next time...~

Financiers chosen near closing time

The display case had financiers, which are baked pastries. Since I visited around closing time, it seemed like many varieties had already sold outㅠㅠ If I had come earlier in the day, I think I could have seen more kinds of desserts..! Looking at other people’s reviews, there really were so many varieties.. But I have trouble choosing.. lol, so I told myself this more narrowed-down selection was actually better and made my picks. I chose the salty chocolate financier and cinnamon financier.

A very kind and beautiful staff member helped me and made the drinks! I asked for takeout, but next time I want to drink them in the café...ㅠㅠ..! I can’t believe there was a café with such a nice atmosphere in my neighborhood...

Anyway, leaving that regret behind, I packed everything up and headed home haha.

How the salty chocolate and cinnamon financiers tasted

This is the salty chocolate financier. The smell alone was insane—it was basically perfume.. lol. I liked it even more because the chocolate coating kind of reminded me of Pepero. I wondered, “Won’t it be too sweet since it’s chocolate?” but it was pleasantly sweet and salty. And the texture, don’t even get me startedㅠㅠ lol. I completely agree that this place is amazing for baked desserts...!!

The cinnamon salty financier was ridiculously delicious too. It genuinely made me want to try every single dessert Pound Coffee sells,.. Next time I visit, I need to demolish some of the other desserts too..! And I’m definitely going back to try the Paju Jangdan soybean cream latte haha.
