Dog-friendly Yeonnam-dong café with fig pancakes: Jam Jam

Today I went to Jam Jam, a café in Yeonnam-dong known as both a brunch spot and a dessert café. It's also famous for its cute, cozy vibe. I'd heard so many reviews raving about the pancakes that I got curious — I wanted some brunch or a sweet dessert in Yeonnam-dong, so off I went haha.

What's on the menu?

They had everything from desserts to brunch dishes! Pasta is apparently one of their famous menu items too, but this really seemed like a Yeonnam-dong café known for its pancakes. I'd heard they were delicious, so I went in with high expectations haha.

A cute space in olive green

The overall vibe of the café was cute and charming! Most of the chairs were the same olive green, which gave the place a really distinct feel haha. There were little props scattered around too, so it was great for photos!

The lighting overall had a warm feel, so it felt like a cozy little hideout. And since it's a dog-friendly café, it's also a great spot to visit with your dog. There's sofa seating too, so it seemed like a comfortable place to spend time with a pet haha.

There was a convex mirror right above where we sat! Couldn't just walk past it, so my friend and I took a mirror shot haha.

Ordering the fig pancake, black sesame latte, and milk tea

We ordered a milk tea, a black sesame latte, and the fig pancake! Fig desserts are everywhere these days — you all know fig desserts are trending right now, right? haha. Whenever I spot a dessert with fig in it lately I just have to try it!

The drinks and the pancake were plated so cutely haha. The pancake especially came on a heart-shaped plate, which made it even more adorable! 🫶

How were the black sesame latte and milk tea?

The cream on top of the black sesame latte was so thick and nutty, it was really good! The distinct nutty flavor of black sesame came through nicely, which suited my taste perfectly haha. The milk tea felt a bit different from a typical milk tea — it had a subtle floral aroma with a refreshing taste, so it was a unique and delicious cup.

They also gave us maple syrup specifically for the pancake, so we could drizzle on as much as we liked to taste! They gave us butter on the side too, and it tasted even better once melted over the pancake haha.

The fig pancake

The fig pancake was gorgeous just to look at haha. Figs have a quietly appealing sweetness that paired really well with the pancake! Eating the soft pancake together with the sweet fig was such a great combination haha.

There was banana on top too, which went great with the pancake! Alternating bites of fig and banana gave two different kinds of sweetness, which made it even tastier haha.

Great spots for photos

The food posters had such a nice look that I snapped a photo of one too haha. Plants were nicely kept in various corners, which made the cute, warm café vibe come through even more!

I especially loved the olive-green sofa haha. The color was so pretty and matched the café's vibe perfectly! So cute, right? haha.

And it turns out you can take photos with an iMac there haha. There were filters too, so my friend and I took some phone photos together — they came out with such a nice aesthetic feel, it was fun!

Overall thoughts on Jam Jam, a Yeonnam-dong brunch café

Chatting with my friend over good dessert, the sun had set before I knew it haha. The overall vibe of the café was cute and cozy, so it was a comfortable place to linger. The pancake was delicious and I liked the atmosphere, so I think I'll come back with my friend again! There's also a convex mirror out front, perfect for taking a memory shot with friends on the way out haha.

I visited Jam Jam while looking for a nice-vibe café in Yeonnam-dong, and I really liked the cute, cozy atmosphere — plus the pancakes were delicious, making it a great place to spend relaxed time with a friend haha. The fig pancake especially was satisfying, both visually and in how well the fruit paired with the pancake!
