You know those days when you just want pizza? But when it comes down to actually choosing, you end up looking for a place with good dough. This time I went to Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, a Gunpo pizza spot known for its house-baked dough. Freshly baked pizza plus a cold beer — today I properly did pijaek (pizza and beer)!

What's the vibe like inside?

Walking into Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, the space felt roomier than expected. Tables were spaced generously and the overall vibe was clean and tidy.

What really caught my eye was a huge projector screen! Would be great for watching sports while eating pizza. ⚽

Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza has an open kitchen, so it was nice being able to watch the food being made.

Menu and dough choices

And you can choose your dough too! Cheese crust, sweet potato crust, cream gold, rich gold. Since I wanted to enjoy even the edges of the pizza, I went with cheese crust.

What we ordered today

We picked pineapple pizza and combination pizza, added cheese crust, and grabbed bottled beer.

With this combo, well... it's literally pijaek. Haha.

Finally, the pizza arrived! Baked nice and hot. Cheese golden brown. Toppings generous. The dough was also nicely thick, so it looked filling just from the sight. I snapped a few photos and grabbed a slice right away.

Gotta eat it while it's hot, that's when it tastes best!

Pineapple pizza

If you like pineapple, this combo will probably win you over. The savory cheese with the sweet, tangy pineapple! One bite goes sweet → salty → savory. The sweet-and-salty keeps coming. The warm cheese and pineapple combo especially worked really well together.

Combination is the classic, of course. Loaded with various toppings, it's a familiar yet hearty flavor.

Pepperoni, vegetables, olives, corn and more toppings evenly spread out, so even one slice was pretty filling. If you're looking for a safe, satisfying option, combination is a solid choice!

Cheese crust

And the cheese crust! Personally this really won me over. You know how some people leave the crust behind when eating pizza? Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza's cheese crust is different. There's cheese stuffed inside the edge, so you end up eating it all the way through. Chewy dough plus savory, salty cheese. Even when full, I kept reaching for it, weirdly. Haha. And a sip of beer with that!

Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza definitely impressed with its dough this time. The toppings were generous too, and adding the cheese crust meant I could enjoy it deliciously right to the last bite. Most of all, eating it fresh at the restaurant let me properly taste that just-baked warmth.
