Jjukkumi restaurant near Chunui Station, Bucheon: rice ball finish
In short
Yajju Yajju Maekom Jjukkumi Main Branch is a spicy webfoot octopus (jjukkumi) restaurant near Chunui Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi. Two diners ordered 3 servings of jjukkumi-samgyeopsal (jjukkumi with pork belly), added udon noodles, and finished with flying fish roe fried rice, choosing spice level 1. The octopus was plump and the pork belly thick, and the lettuce-wrap combo of perilla leaf, pickled radish, seaweed, mayonnaise and flying fish roe kept them eating to the very end.

After finishing my Saturday shift, I was heading toward the area between Gwangmyeong and Bucheon to hang out, and on the way I stopped by a jjukkumi (spicy webfoot octopus) place near Chunui Station! I visited Yajju Yajju Maekom Jjukkumi Main Branch (야쭈야쭈매콤쭈꾸미본점)!
It's near Chunui Station and there's no parking, so I'd recommend using a nearby public lot or public transit! I used the paid lot across from the restaurant 😊

Three servings of jjukkumi-samgyeopsal for two, here's how we ordered
We came as a pair! Both of us are huge eaters, so there was never a plan to eat modestly haha. After some thought, we ordered 3 servings of jjukkumi-samgyeopsal (jjukkumi with pork belly)! We also added udon noodles to round it out 🍜

If you wrap it like this, you can honestly keep eating forever 😁😁

Retreating to spice level 1
I thought I'd gotten good at handling spicy food these days and was about to order level 2, but backed off and went straight for level 1... and yeah, good call on my part haha

Just a heads up~ let's all get that cash discount together 👍👍

Once you order, the basic side dishes come out quickly! They give you plenty from the start so you can load up on wraps 👍👍

Jjukkumi-samgyeopsal: octopus and thick pork belly
The food comes out of the kitchen already cooked and ready to eat! First off, the jjukkumi was bigger and plumper than I expected! Not tiny cut-up pieces but proper plump flesh you could really feel — I liked it just from looking at it haha
And what I really liked here was the pork belly! With jjukkumi-samgyeopsal, the pork belly often comes out thin, but here it was noticeably thicker than at other places I've tried. As someone who loves thick-cut meat, this won me over right away lol 🥓 Combining the springy, plump texture of the jjukkumi with the thick pork belly gave a nice contrast in textures.
If you look inside, there's also udon noodles included! Being able to eat them right away made me so happy ㅜㅜㅜ

The full jjukkumi wrap combo
Can you see it? We wrapped up the plump jjukkumi with the thick pork belly and just went into a trance eating haha. I almost forgot to take photos again while eating lol
They set out perilla leaf, pickled radish, seaweed, mayonnaise and flying fish roe, so instead of just eating the jjukkumi plain, you could combine everything into a wrap 👀 Lay down a perilla leaf, put jjukkumi on it, add a piece of pork belly, then pickled radish and seaweed! Add a bit of mayonnaise and finish by sprinkling on the flying fish roe — that's the full jjukkumi wrap setup lol 🤣

Finishing with flying fish roe fried rice
Even after finishing the jjukkumi-samgyeopsal and udon noodles, we couldn't skip the last menu item, so we added flying fish roe fried rice too! 🍳 We were already full, but fried rice is a separate stomach, right? lol
In the end, the two of us cleared 3 servings of jjukkumi-samgyeopsal + udon noodles + flying fish roe fried rice lol. We soothed the spice with cool citron drinks along the way and really ate properly 🤣 Both of us are pretty weak to spice, so we ordered level 1, and it was just the right amount of heat for us. Stuffed and satisfied once again today 🐙🌶️
