On a day I was craving bread, I stopped by Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong near Sinjung-dong Station. o( › ̫ ‹ ᐢ o)) ໒꒱ I stumbled on it by chance while passing by, and the nutty bread smell drifting out of the shop was so good.
It felt like a waste to just walk past, so I went in — and the freshly baked-looking loaves on display were fun to browse too. That day I got the Soboro Bam Chapssaltteok Milk Bread (streusel-chestnut-rice cake milk bread) Half for ₩8,500 and a Brewing Latte for ₩4,500 to take home.

Easy White Bread is Bon IF's milk bread specialty bakery café brand, which took the signature milk bread from Easy Brewing and spun it off into its own line. It's about a 5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Sinjung-dong Station, so it's a pretty convenient distance if you're looking for a bakery near the station.

What was the vibe inside?
The shop is on the smaller side, but the breads were displayed generously, and the overall mood was warm and cozy.

Wood and a modern beige tone came together to give it that classic bakery coziness. Best of all, the smell of baking bread that hits you the moment you walk in was so good. With the warm bread smell filling the shop, I wanted to grab something before I'd even finished browsing haha

Freshly baked milk bread everywhere
Easy White Bread apparently bakes its milk bread fresh at set times every day. There were several kinds ready, from the signature Golden Beurre Milk Bread to Walnut Rye Milk Bread and Soboro Bam Chapssaltteok Milk Bread.
There were more varieties of milk bread than I expected, so I spent a while deciding. I usually prefer bread that tastes clean and lets the ingredients shine rather than dessert breads loaded with cream, so I liked that there were so many milk bread options.

You can even choose the slice thickness
The milk bread can also be sliced to your preferred thickness on request. You can ask for 1cm, 2cm, or 2.5cm, which makes it convenient to take home and eat right away.

For tasting samples, there were Golden Beurre Milk Bread and Walnut Cranberry Rye, and apparently the sample changes daily! I was too full to try it that day, unfortunately, but definitely give it a taste if you visit~

Soboro Bam Chapssaltteok Milk Bread Half, ₩8,500
What I picked this time was the Soboro Bam Chapssaltteok Milk Bread Half for ₩8,500. Just the name was totally my type! I was curious the moment I saw it on the shelf. It's moist milk bread with sweet chestnut and chewy rice cake inside, topped with nutty streusel.

I brought it home and cut it with a knife to photograph the cross-section. You could see chestnut pieces tucked between the layers along with the chewy texture of the rice cake — definitely a different look from regular white bread. Taking a bite, the milk bread itself was soft and moist, with chestnut pieces adding a gentle sweetness here and there. With the chewy rice cake added on top, it felt totally different from eating plain bread!

The streusel on top was nutty with a bit of crunch, so eating it with the soft bread gave a mix of textures. I love bread that's both nutty and gently sweet, and this was so, so good!!
Maybe because of the chestnut, it went especially well with warm milk or a latte..🤎 It's good as a simple breakfast or a snack when you're feeling peckish, and being a Half size made it less of a commitment.
Brewing Latte, ₩4,500, made with nutty beans
Thinking it would go well with the chestnut bread, I also ordered a coffee — I picked the Brewing Latte for ₩4,500.

When ordering the Brewing Latte, they first asked whether I preferred a nutty or fruity flavor. I went straight for nutty without hesitation! Since it's brewed drip-style, even as a latte the coffee flavor came through clearly, finishing smooth with the milk.
Since I picked the nutty beans, a nutty aftertaste lingered even after finishing the cup. I prefer coffee that's nutty and heavy rather than sharply fruity, so it really suited my taste.
Taking a bite of the soft milk bread and a sip of the Brewing Latte, the bread's sweet, nutty flavor blended naturally with the coffee. Especially with a bread like the Soboro Bam Chapssaltteok Milk Bread with chestnut and streusel, eating it with coffee made the sweetness feel cleanly balanced.

Jam and cream cheese worth pairing
Oh right!!! The shop also had jams and cream cheese to pair with the milk bread, not just the bread itself! From plain cream cheese to honey fig cream cheese and blueberry butter jam, there were several kinds, fun to browse. Buying a milk bread and pairing it with cream cheese or jam seems like it could make a decent simple breakfast. There are also portioned products, so it's easy to try a few different flavors without much commitment.

They're apparently running a Naver receipt review event giving out random cream cheese, so if you're interested, give it a try. ♥️

What I thought after eating
The Soboro Bam Chapssaltteok Milk Bread was soft and delicious even eaten right away, and with chestnut, rice cake, and streusel all packed in, even one slice felt quite filling. It works well as a breakfast substitute and also pairs nicely with a cup of coffee as an afternoon snack.
When buying bread, I usually avoid ones with overly heavy ingredients or that leave a dry feeling in your mouth afterward, but Easy White Bread's milk bread is centered on a soft texture, so it was easy to eat comfortably. The Brewing Latte was also a great style to drink alongside bread, so next time I visit I want to try pairing other milk breads with different coffees.

This Bucheon Sinjung-dong bakery, Easy White Bread, that I happened to stumble upon this time. The shop is small in size, but with freshly baked milk bread, Soboro Bam Chapssaltteok, Olive Cheese, Walnut Cranberry Rye, and more, there was plenty to pick from depending on your taste.
Especially if you love milk bread, this is a place you must visit!! If you love nutty, soft bread like me, I'd recommend the Soboro Bam Chapssaltteok Milk Bread too. With the gentle sweetness of chestnut, the chewiness of rice cake, and the nuttiness of the streusel all together, it was a different kind of fun from plain white bread.

If you're looking for a bakery near Sinjung-dong Station, a Bucheon bakery, or a milk bread spot in Bucheon, Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong is a good place to pick up a loaf. Next time I definitely want to try the Golden Beurre Milk Bread!! And I'll have to pick up some cream cheese too. ‧₊˚ ◦∘
