Gangnam hair salon dry-hair care and light cut: Heeol Hair

As summer was winding down, I got my hair cut at a hair salon near Sinnonhyeon Station and treated myself to a lovely hair clinic session. :)

Location and atmosphere at Heeol Hair Gangnam Flagship Store

Heeol Hair Gangnam Flagship Store is a 5-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6 and a 7-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 11. Walk straight down the alley beside CGV Gangnam, and it is on the third floor of the building with a four-cut photo booth on the left. Oh, it was above Cafe Onhwa, which I had visited before, haha.

The salon interior was neat and had a relaxing atmosphere.

This Sinnonhyeon Station hair salon, Heeol Hair, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is also a Gangnam hair salon where dogs are welcome!

My frizzy hair condition and consultation

First, I filled out a questionnaire about my current hair condition and what I wanted, then we had a detailed consultation before getting started. 😊 Afterward, I decided on the B Course treatment and a cut.

First, a shocking before-and-after comparison shot, haha.

Aah, hahahahaha. I had no idea it was this bad ;; Is this human hair or a broom? Yikes;;; My hair was incredibly dry and frizzy ㅠㅠ;;

One excuse, though: it rained that day and the humidity was insanely high, so it was exactly the kind of day when slightly wavy hair like mine goes completely, completely, completely wild.... haha 😅😅

And here is how it looked after the treatment—calming even to my heart ☺️ My hair was shiny and so much more settled. Of course, the cut made it look more tidy too.

How the Hair Care B Course worked

Intensive moisture-and-oil strengthening care

Hair Care B Course

They said this is an intensive moisture-and-oil strengthening treatment suited to rough, damaged hair from frequent procedures. With triple hyaluronic acid, it locks in moisture on the surface and within the hair, while adding keratin and protein to damaged hair, adjusting pH, and strengthening the hair barrier.

It began with shampooing in the shampoo room.

After the moisture treatment, my hair was steamed.

While I sat and waited, they prepared a drink and snacks. I had come without eating and was hungry, so since they happened to have lattes, I had a warm latte to gently fill my stomach too, haha.

After rinsing once, we moved on to the protein treatment. Since my hair was frizzy and rough, they applied it generously and thoroughly!

After another round of steam and waiting, the final step was back in the shampoo room. They sealed everything in so the nutrients would not escape, then finished with a refreshing acupressure massage. :)

A thinning cut and styling tips

Since I had also decided to cut my hair, they first trimmed and evened out the overall length. After drying it, they thinned it further and refined the texture. I had trimmed it not long ago, but it still felt stuffy and heavy. When I mentioned that, they said my hair was thick enough to thin out more even on the inside, so they made it much lighter, haha.

Thanks to that, washing and drying my hair has been so much lighter and easier lately, which I love haha. Along with the treatment, they carefully showed me how to style it at home with a curling iron, applied essence, and finished up.

Ahh... it felt completely soft and calm even when I touched it, which made me so happy. 👍👍 My hair had been so long and heavy, but after cutting quite a bit and making it lighter, I felt refreshed, haha.
