Friday-night seafood clam hot pot with barley rice bar: Taegine Jogae
In short
Taegine Jogae Jeongol, Anyang Art Park Branch is a clam hot pot restaurant near the entrance of Anyang Art Park in Gyeonggi. A Friday-after-work drive led to a 2-person clam hot pot for ₩47,000, an all-you-can-eat barley rice and side dish bar, and a 13-minute timer wait. The scallops were a bit small out of season but the broth was refreshing and spicy, and the finishing kalguksu noodles were especially satisfying.

We went with the 2-person clam hot pot :)

Barley rice and side dish self-bar
They set the first round of side dishes for you. Barley rice too!

Mixing yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi) into the barley rice to taste — honey-good

Inhaled it in an instant... it just disappeared... haha
There's a separate self-service corner, so you can go grab more barley rice and side dishes from the self-bar! The barley rice is unlimited haha
The 13-minute timer, then the clam hot pot arrives
While we were eating the barley rice, they brought out the clam hot pot~ and set the timer for 13 minutes
Waiting 13 minutes while eating barley rice. Ta-da~ the clam hot pot we ordered arrives!

The visuals are seriously amazing. I love seafood, so just looking at it made me so happy!
When the timer goes off, the owner opens the lid and cuts up the bigger seafood like scallops or squid into bite-sized pieces👍
Cheese fondue in the middle
There's cheese fondue right in the center!

The owner told us to dip it right into the cheese, so we dunked the neatly-cut squid straight into the cheese
The seafood inside
Manila clams

My beloved scallops~ maybe because it wasn't the season, they were a bit small, which was a shame, but they tasted really good

Shrimp, abalone! One abalone per person, so there were 2 in total
Scallops and conch

I didn't expect much from the fish cake, but it was so good. The broth's seasoning soaked in perfectly — great umami

They also added mushrooms and napa cabbage, which made the broth taste really refreshing. Dip it straight into the sauce
The cheese is a real cheat code! Stretching out so satisfyingly, so good

Finishing with kalguksu noodles
After fishing out all the clams, we ordered a serving of kalguksu (knife-cut noodle) sari!

I really love noodles, so honestly I was looking forward to this finishing kalguksu even more than the main dish
The kalguksu was seriously so good...😆😆 I almost ordered another serving of noodles but held back, and now looking at the photo I regret it a bit again haha. Unlike other kalguksu noodles, these were thinner and chewier! So good!

Seriously, we cleaned it all up 😊
Packed with generous clams and seafood, the broth was refreshing and spicy — perfect as a drinking snack or a hearty meal. Fresh ingredients and generous portions made this visit to Taegine Jogae Jeongol, Anyang Art Park Branch a satisfying one👍
+ Make sure to add the kalguksu noodle sari!
