Daegu date restaurant with yolk-mix pasta: Palette Hannam

If you're looking for a good-vibes restaurant in Dongseong-ro, Palette Hannam is already famous around here! I'd heard the name a lot but this was my first visit. Palette Hannam is already well known as a Dongseong-ro date spot haha. With Dongseong-ro overflowing with famous restaurants, I went in expecting a lot from a place that's earned that reputation.

Where is Palette Hannam Daegu Dongseong-ro Branch, and where do you park?

Palette Hannam Daegu Dongseong-ro Branch sits right in the middle of Dongseong-ro haha. By public transit it's about a 10-minute walk from either Jungangno Station or Banwoldang Station.

Since it's downtown Daegu, there's no dedicated parking lot, but here's a tip: the Gukchebosang Memorial Park public parking lot is just 3 minutes away on foot. The base rate is cheap and eco-friendly vehicles get a discount, so I'd recommend it ~_~

This is the famous restaurant that appeared on You Quiz! Palette Hannam!! I was so curious about their signature pasta haha. Noodle expert Yu-neunim (Yoo Jae-suk) approved of Palette Hannam's pasta, so I had to try it

Follow the stairs up to the 2nd floor and a light lavender wall appears. Open the door on the right to go in.

Inside Palette Hannam: does the pink interior work for a couple in their 30s?

The interior of Palette Hannam Daegu Dongseong-ro Branch is pink and cute all over. It looks like the perfect spot for young women in their 20s or college-age couples on dates, haha. We're in our 30s so we felt a little out of place at first, but we quickly got swept up in the fuzzy, dreamy atmosphere haha.

The cutlery was neatly arranged haha.

There's also a waiting area. We went right at weekday opening and managed to snag the prime window seat.

Ordering is simple via tablet. We ordered the two most iconic signature items — Palette Pasta and Shrimp Rosé Pizza. Omurice tempted me a bit too, but I was curious what the shrimp rosé I'd only ever had as pasta would taste like as a pizza, so I ordered it haha.

Prices: Palette Pasta ₩17,900, Shrimp Rosé Pizza ₩18,900 — ₩36,800 for the two together!

How the main dishes at Palette Hannam tasted

The main dishes arrived in under 10 minutes! Taste aside, Palette Hannam's food is also a treat to look at.

Shrimp Rosé Pizza: thin dough topped with king prawns

I first tried the shrimp rosé pizza I'd been curious about. It really tasted exactly like shrimp rosé pasta!! The bright tomato and rich cream flavors both came through clearly, and the king shrimp on every slice was totally my type. The dough was thin and chewy, which made it even better.

Palette Pasta: the signature dish you mix with a broken egg yolk

With Palette Pasta, you break the egg yolk and mix it in yourself. The red powder seemed to be paprika powder, and it had a slight spice kick, giving it a different feel from your usual cream pasta.

The noodles were cooked just right, and the nuttiness of the egg yolk paired beautifully with the richness of the cream — it went down easily. The two of us are big eaters, so it disappeared fast ㅠㅠ haha. Maybe we each need our own pasta next time.

Look at that king shrimp spilling over hahaha. The pizza was also a treat dipped in the leftover pasta sauce.

Cleaned our plates again today haha. I'd highly recommend Palette Hannam as a Dongseong-ro blind-date or date spot! Even the name already sounds like a good vibe haha. Thanks for the meal!
