Looking for a spot near Suwon Station where I could grab tasty food and drinks with friends, I ended up at Manseokjip Suwon Station Branch, right by the Rodeo Street near Suwon Station!!😘

Why I chose a private room over a loud open bar

There are so many bars near Suwon Station that it's hard to decide where to go ㅜ ㅜ This time, instead of a loud open-style bar, I was looking for a place where we could talk comfortably among ourselves. There are tons of private-room bars these days, and I heard Manseokjip is famous for its side dishes!😍🥺

Unlike a typical table-style bar, Manseokjip is set up as private rooms — a room-style bar near Suwon Station that works well for friend gatherings, dates, or group drinking sessions~~

When you meet up with friends, you end up talking for ages while eating. Not having to worry about the tables around you seems like the real advantage of a private-room bar.

Personally I think the side dish is the most important thing at a bar!💫 There's always that little dilemma when choosing what to order at a bar!! ㅠㅠ Should I get a stew, meat, or something simple? Manseokjip had a pretty wide range of menu options, so there was a lot to choose from😛

Their signature items include hanwoo gopdoritang, gabrisal suyuk jeongol, salt-grilled makchang, smoked samgyeopsal & jjolmyeon, Manseok yukhoe, chadolbagi sundubu jjigae, cheese dakgalbi, half-and-half chicken, rosé chicken pasta, and more!!

Out of everything, we ordered the hanwoo gopdoritang. Honestly, it put professional gopdoritang restaurants to shame.. Went perfectly with a bowl of rice, and I couldn't believe it was bar-quality food😵😵

If you want something heartier, going for a dish like gabrisal suyuk jeongol that you can share among several people seems like a good choice too! Recommended~~

Basic side dishes, fruit yellow peach, and the review-event ice cream croffle

And the basic side dishes were so good too..🥲🥲 When you're drinking, sometimes you crave something sweet toward the end, and they had lighter options like fruit yellow peach available so you could pick according to your taste. If you do the review event you can also get an ice cream croffle, so make sure to try it when you go! ㅎㅎ

What kind of gathering does this suit

Suwon Station has so many crowded, bustling bars, but if your goal is to actually talk with friends like we did that day, a private room is definitely more comfortable. It's a fine spot for a date, and it had a nice atmosphere for catching up with friends you haven't seen in a while over drinks!!
