Where is Thanon55 in Sejong?
Thanon55 is a Thai restaurant on the first floor of the Best Western Plus Hotel Sejong branch in Eojin-dong, Sejong. It's a popular spot with a lot of repeat customers (reservations available via Naver).
Closed Sundays Hours 11:00–21:00 (break time 15:00–17:00)

We took the BRT since public transit was convenient, but since it's a hotel building the parking is well set up, and with Sejong Government Complex, AK Plaza, and a nearby park all close by, it's a great spot for meetups or group gatherings too!!
Thanon55 at 6pm on a weekday: wait time and the room
Visiting around 6pm on a weekday, Thanon55 was relatively quiet, but by around 6:30 there were a lot of customers coming in, including big groups.

The inside of Thanon55 is fairly spacious with group seating available, so you probably don't need to worry too much about waiting ^^ You can feel the Southeast Asian vibe from the interior photos, right? Haha. If you're tired of eating the same food every day, I'd also recommend this as a date spot in Sejong for something different~~

Thanon55 menu and prices
Now let me introduce the menu at Thanon55, the Thai restaurant near Sejong Government Complex. First up, the rice noodle dishes!! There were basic rice noodle options, but the best menu item was the pork bone rice noodle soup!!

There was also curry beef intestine rice noodles, but on the day we visited the beef intestine happened to be sold out, so we went with the pork bone rice noodles instead!! I want to try the intestine noodles next time.
Next, the rice dishes!! We tried a menu called pork cutlet curry. It's a dish where fried pork is served together with curry.

There was also a wide variety of popular Thai dishes to try, like shrimp curry, stir-fried pork with basil, shrimp fried rice, pad thai, laap, and tom yum.
- Seafood tom yum rice noodles - ₩20,000
- Thai curry beef intestine rice noodles - ₩18,000
- Hard shell crab curry - ₩35,000
- Shrimp curry - ₩15,000
- Moo Kata (Thai-style shabu shabu) - ₩25,000, and more

Can't skip the sides!! We debated between som tam and spring rolls, but ended up ordering the spring rolls since we were craving something crispy and fried.
Thanon55 order summary

What do Thanon55's pork-bone rice noodles taste like?
First to arrive was Thanon55's pork bone rice noodle soup. The food seemed to come out faster than expected!

How's the look~~ There were three generous chunks of meat in it!! The egg was a nice touch too haha

Despite the look, it wasn't overly salty or intense. The meat on the bone was simmered until it fell off easily too!! Made it easy to eat~~

How to eat the moo tod curry (crispy fried pork curry)

The fried pork is sliced into easy-to-eat pieces and enjoyed with rice, sauce, and curry — a great combo.
