Jisamseon set saves ₩4,000 in Paju Unjeong: Sannaemaeul Yang Kkochi

My husband and I stopped by the Paju outlets over the weekend and suddenly craved lamb skewers, so we headed to "Sannaemaeul Yang Kkochi & Qingdao" near Paju Unjeong Sannae Village. Spoiler: this is a genuine favorite we already promised to revisit next time we're in Paju ⭐️

Where is Sannaemaeul Yang Kkochi & Qingdao, and when is it open?

Sannaemaeul Yang Kkochi & Qingdao is on the 2nd floor of World Tower3, 573 Chaekhyanggi-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do. It's open Tue–Sun from 15:30 to 1 AM the next day, and closed every Monday.

Finding the restaurant inside World Tower 3

It's on the 2nd floor of World Tower W3. Look for the Bonjuk & Bibimbap cafe and EGGDROP signs on the 1st floor to find it easily! It's near Homeplus Paju Unjeong and Hansol Park — great for a meal after a stroll around the area.

🅿️ The super important part — parking! The building's underground parking made it really convenient.

Inside the restaurant: is it good for a family meal?

The dining room is quite spacious with generous table spacing, making it great for family dinners, work gatherings, or group meetups. There's also a TV, perfect for a beer while watching a sports game.

The place was pretty big! Lots of tables, generous spacing, and comfortable chairs — perfect for family meals or group gatherings.

There's a TV in the restaurant too — great for cheering on a big game with a beer in hand. We came in early evening when it was quiet, but people gradually filled in, mostly families.

Extra banchan (side dishes) are self-serve! Take as much jjasai (pickled radish), onion, and spicy radish salad as you like.

The menu: lamb skewers and Chinese main dishes

The menu at Sannaemaeul Yang Kkochi & Qingdao centers on lamb dishes like lamb skewers and lamb ribs, alongside a wide range of Chinese dishes and meals — guobaorou (sweet and sour pork), jisamseon, mala xiangguo, mala tang, and onmyeon (warm noodle soup). The 1- and 2-person sets were ₩1,000–2,000 cheaper than ordering items separately.

Once we sat down and looked at the menu, we were surprised by how much there was!? Lamb dishes like lamb skewers and lamb ribs are the main draw ✨ but there's also a wide selection from higher-end Chinese dishes like guobaorou, jisamseon, mala xiangguo, and mala tang, to full meals like onmyeon. 🍻The drink list ranges from soju to Qingdao beer to Yantai gaoliangju, great for pairing with the food!

Sweet and sour pork, pepper shredded pork, yurinji, gganpunggi, cream shrimp, chili shrimp... isn't this basically a full Chinese restaurant? The 1-person and 2-person set menus caught our eye — they're ₩1,000–2,000 cheaper than ordering each item separately!

Every table had a proper tablet ordering system. It was convenient to browse menu photos and order right from the tablet. There were also plenty of set menus not printed on the paper menu. Set menus and mixed skewer sets are much cheaper than ordering items separately — definitely recommended!! We agonized between guobaorou and jisamseon 🤔 and ended up ordering the "jisamseon set"! The owner recommended the guobaorou as the more popular choice, but we went with jisamseon anyway haha!!

🍢 The main event: what comes in the jisamseon set

The "jisamseon set" includes lamb skewers + lamb rib meat skewers + jisamseon. A generous combo that's ₩4,000 cheaper than ordering separately 👍🏻

Basic banchan like jjasai, spicy radish salad, and onion arrived first, along with peanuts, lamb skewer seasoning, and the enticing lamb skewers themselves.

They set the lamb skewers over sizzling charcoal, turning them round and round to cook evenly ✨ I wasn't even that hungry, but my appetite kicked right in 😋

I dipped a perfectly cooked lamb skewer piece into the seasoning and tried it. Absolutely no gamey odor, juicy and tender — so, so good. You could really tell the meat quality was excellent.

✅ Jisamseon: potato, eggplant and pepper stir-fry

While we were happily eating the lamb skewers, the jisamseon arrived! Even before tasting it, a savory, sweet-and-salty smell wafted over. Apparently "jisamseon" means a dish made from three fresh ingredients from the earth — eggplant, potato, and bell pepper.

One bite in and I gasped, "whoa, this is good..!" The eggplant was fried crisp on the outside and soft inside, with juicy filling and a sweet-savory sauce blending smoothly in the mouth. The crispy potato was also a treat, and the bell pepper kept the dish from feeling greasy, grounding the flavor. My husband especially raved that jisamseon was totally his style, praising the umami the whole time haha — we would've regretted it so much if we hadn't ordered it!!

✅ Bean sprout stir-fry, on the house

The complimentary bean sprout stir-fry was genuinely delicious too! Look at how generous the portion was for a free side dish... It paired really well with the lamb skewers.
