I first visited with my boyfriend a while back and loved it so much that this time I came back with my family to celebrate my mom's birthday! 🎂🌿
✨ Location ✨ Mandali To Go Ilgwang Branch is about a 12-minute walk from Ilgwang Station and about 4 minutes from Ilgwang Beach, so it's a great spot to grab brunch and then stroll to the sea.
✨ Parking ✨ There's a parking space right in front of the store. If it's full, you can use the public parking lot at Ilgwang Beach (Samseong-ri 712) or the one near the Ilgwang-eup office (77-7 Ilgwang-ro).

First and second floor seating, and when Mandali To Go fills up on weekends
✨ Atmosphere ✨ Mandali To Go Ilgwang Branch has two floors, and the mix of orange tones and plants gives it a warm, European-home-like feel! Fresh flowers are tucked in here and there too, which somehow lifted my mood just by being there. 💐
On the first floor there's a little grocery corner selling pasta noodles, sauces, oils, and jams, which is fun to browse, and the second floor has seating good for groups. When we visited, almost every seat except the group tables was taken! 👀 We sat four of us at one side of a 10-person table, with another family sharing the other side.

On weekends, seats can fill up by around noon, so if you want a relaxed brunch, I'd recommend arriving a bit early! By the way, pets are only allowed on the outdoor terrace seating. 🐶

YUM (⍢)
Sweet potato cream cheese ciabatta, 6,700 won
My personal favorite is the sweet potato cream cheese ciabatta! 🍠 Sweet mashed sweet potato, fresh cream cheese, and the nutty flavor of injeolmi (rice cake) crumble come together, and

the top cracks crisp like a brûlée — this was the tastiest thing we ate that day.

Medium tomato basil cheese ciabatta, 3,700 won
A chewy, savory bread ciabatta with the freshness of tomato, the fragrance of basil, and just the right amount of salty cheese!

Overall a clean, basic flavor that's not too strong! I'd recommend this when you're craving a savory meal bread rather than a sweet dessert bread. 🍅

Avocado salmon grain salad, 16,000 won
With salmon, avocado, and grains, the ingredients felt fresh and the portion was quite filling. 🥑

It looks like a healthy brunch just from the look of it, and the colorful presentation also made it nice to share alongside other dishes.

Sweet pumpkin curry soup with house baguette, 8,000 won
At first, since the name has 'curry' in it, I thought it would be salty with a strong curry smell, but

the sweet, smooth pumpkin flavor was much stronger 🎃 It's like a sweet pumpkin soup with just a hint of curry added!

The house baguette had a crispy crust, and dipping it into the soup worked really well 🥖

Citrus white ragu pasta, 19,000 won
The noodles were flat yet quite thick, which was unusual right from the start.

Instead of the usual salty, savory cream pasta, this had a sweet, rich cream sauce with the brightness of lemon added!

Mixing the lemon all through the dish made for a pretty interesting sweet-plus-tangy combination. 🍋
Is five dishes enough food for four people?
💡 We ordered this much for the four of us, and it was more filling than expected, so we ended up taking a few pieces of baguette home haha. Gave them to a stray cat haha. That said, our family are all pretty light eaters overall, so take the portion size as just a reference! 😂

The sisters' taste ranking of the 5 Mandali To Go dishes
🙋♀️ My ranking: sweet potato cream cheese ciabatta > avocado salmon grain salad > sweet pumpkin curry soup > citrus white ragu pasta = tomato basil cheese ciabatta
👧 My sister's ranking: sweet potato cream cheese ciabatta > avocado salmon grain salad = tomato basil cheese ciabatta > sweet pumpkin curry soup > citrus white ragu pasta
Our tastes differed a bit, but we both agreed the sweet potato cream cheese ciabatta was number one! 🍠

Final thoughts on brunch at Mandali To Go Ilgwang Branch
If you want to enjoy several dishes at once — bread, salad, and pasta — or you're looking for a brunch spot near Ilgwang Beach, I recommend this Gijang brunch café! Next time I want to try the chestnut cream ciabatta I've been curious about. 🌰 Another delicious meal, as always :)
If I go back, I'm ordering the sweet potato ciabatta again for sure!
