Hapjeong specialty café with Panama Black Moon Geisha: Central Site

In short

Central Site Hapjeong is a roastery café a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Hapjeong Station in Mapo, Seoul. Instead of an americano, the writer ordered the Panama Black Moon Geisha Washed #3 at 22,000 won, a cup with no sourness at all — smooth and refined — and alternated it with the signature Classic Tiramisu at 8,500 won, which kept the palate clean. Central Site Hapjeong is a good choice when you want to focus on the coffee itself rather than the interior.

What is the café like inside?

Interior view of Central Site Hapjeong

One side of Central Site has a glass-enclosed roasting area where you can see the roasting machine in action. Since they roast their own beans, you can really tell coffee is taken seriously here. The counter has beans and brewing tools lined up on display.

Café seating and bench-style seats by the window

I liked that staff bring your coffee to your table after you order. There are also bench-style seats by the window that open out to the outside, which looked great for sitting outdoors on a cool day.

What caught my eye that day was the Panama Geisha. Instead of my usual americano, I ordered the Panama Geisha Black Moon. Price: ₩22,000!

Panama Black Moon Geisha: a refined cup with no sourness

A cup of Panama Black Moon Geisha Washed drip coffee

That day I ordered the Panama Black Moon Geisha Washed #3 instead of my usual americano. I was surprised there was zero acidity at all. I'd expected a bright, acidic coffee, but instead it was smooth and closer to luxurious.

Bean card with tasting notes for the Geisha beans

The bean card described notes of jasmine, bergamot, pear, peach, and lemon black tea with a subtle effervescence, and honestly, tasting it, the description wasn't an exaggeration.

They also sell the same beans in 100g bags in-store. At ₩64,000, it's definitely not a casual purchase, but it's a flavor I'd want to buy and brew again at home ㅠㅠ

Classic Tiramisu at Central Site Hapjeong

Coffee alone felt like not enough, so I also ordered the Classic Tiramisu. It's ₩8,500 and is introduced as Central Site's signature menu item.

It came with a generous layer of cocoa powder and a piece of chocolate on top. Alternating between the coffee and the tiramisu kept my palate clean.

A forkful of soft tiramisu sponge

The sponge was genuinely soft and the cream wasn't overly sweet — I could see exactly why tiramisu is their main dessert!

Parking near Central Site Hapjeong

Central Site doesn't have its own parking lot. The closest option is the Mecenatpolis underground parking lot, a 1–3 minute walk away.

Entry is allowed from 06:00 to 24:00, and you can exit 24 hours a day. Rates are ₩2,000 for the first 10 minutes, then ₩1,000 per 10 minutes after, with a daily max of ₩30,000. Entering before 10am is charged at a flat ₩17,000. This lot can get crowded during lunch hours and weekend afternoons. It's only 100–150m from Hapjeong Station Exit 2, so honestly the subway was the most convenient way to get there!!

Final verdict on Central Site Hapjeong

Central Site was a great café for when you want to focus on the coffee itself rather than the atmosphere. The Panama Black Moon Geisha was memorable for being smooth and luxurious with no acidity, and pairing it with the Classic Tiramisu rounded out the dessert side nicely. For parking, use Mecenatpolis instead of the store itself, and since it's close to Hapjeong Station, the subway is the easiest way in. If you're looking for a café in Hapjeong? I highly, highly recommend Central Site ><!

Next time I want to buy the beans and brew them at home too.
