My little bread lover at home is seriously obsessed with salt bread, so whenever we visit a bakery I always end up grabbing one for her!

This time I visited La Cascata, a bakery cafe in Guro Digital Complex known for paying close attention to its ingredients!
I carefully picked up salt bread for my surprised little one and a ciabatta for my mushroom-obsessed husband haha.
Where is La Cascata? Walking there from Guro Digital Complex Station
La Cascata is a bakery cafe located in the alley next to Shilla Stay near Guro Digital Complex Station. Once you get close, it's not too hard to find, and the sign in front of the shop is pretty noticeable~

What ingredients does La Cascata bake with?
There was an ingredient information board on one side of the store — they say they use natural ingredients and follow a same-day-made, same-day-sold policy. No chemical additives or preservatives, natural honey and stevia instead of sugar, long-time low-temperature fermentation with natural yeast, premium sun-dried salt aged over 3 years, and European fermented butter. Since it's bread I'd be sharing with my little one, I found myself checking these details carefully haha.
La Cascata menu and prices
La Cascata's salt bread is ₩3,000, the mushroom cheese ciabatta is ₩4,500, and the iced americano is ₩2,300. There were over 8 kinds of ciabatta, so I was honestly a bit torn on what to pick haha.

- Salt bread ₩3,000
- Mushroom cheese ciabatta ₩4,500
- Iced americano ₩2,300

Starting from a ₩2,300 americano, there's a ₩4,300 signature cafe latte, plus unique options like pepper cream latte, super sweet corn latte, and black sesame latte for ₩5,300 each. After some thought, I settled on just two~
I picked up one salt bread for my little one and my husband's pick, the mushroom cheese ciabatta, haha.
La Cascata salt bread: sharing the 3,000 won loaf with my child
La Cascata's salt bread was baked to a nice golden brown on the outside. As soon as I got home and cut it open, the inside was fluffy with a nicely dense crumb.

I took the first bite before giving any to my little one haha. Salt bread can get greasy when there's too much butter, but La Cascata's version had a nutty butter flavor without leaving that oily, heavy feeling in my mouth afterward~! The salty edge and nutty butter combined into a really pleasant flavor.

I fed a bite to our household's salt bread lover, and as expected, she ate it up happily haha. It wasn't too strong a flavor, so it was easy to share comfortably with a kid!

What does the mushroom cheese ciabatta taste like?
La Cascata's mushroom cheese ciabatta, ₩4,500, was slightly crispy outside with a chewy, moist texture inside. My husband is completely powerless against mushrooms haha. The moment I spotted mushroom on the menu, I thought, this one's definitely his.
The big, irregular air pockets typical of ciabatta were clearly visible in the cross-section. The deep, savory mushroom flavor combined with the rich nuttiness of the cheese paired really well with the plain ciabatta base. My husband's reaction was a success as predicted haha — he said anything with mushrooms in it is hard to make taste bad, and ate it all up happily.

La Cascata hours, bread times and membership points
La Cascata is open from 9 AM to 7 PM, with regular closed days every Monday and Tuesday. Sandwiches and salt bread come out at 9 AM, while ciabatta comes out between 9 and 10 AM.

Final verdict on La Cascata

With so many kinds of ciabatta, it was fun just browsing and picking one out, and between salt bread, ciabatta, and sandwiches, it was easy to grab something to match everyone's taste in the family. My little one loved the salt bread and my husband was happy with the mushroom cheese ciabatta, so both were great choices haha.

Next time I want to try a ciabatta flavor I haven't had yet and get a sandwich too~! Of course, I'll definitely have to grab a salt bread for my little one again as well haha. If you're looking for salt bread in Guro or a bakery near Guro Digital Complex, come check out La Cascata!
