Today I went to Thai Du Guro Digital Complex Branch, a Thai food spot everyone in Guro Digital Complex talks about 🇹🇭🇹🇭 A place I really want to recommend! I come here a lot for lunch — I usually can't handle tom yum, but this one is genuinely delicious 💛💛

It's not just tom yum, it's tom yum pho, which makes it even better. A bit spicy, but still so good~!

How to walk to Thai Du from Guro Digital Complex Station

You just walk a bit from Guro Digital Complex Station — past the big intersection and a little further and it's right there. Not too far, maybe about 10 minutes. My office is on the opposite side, so at lunchtime I walk hard toward the station.

Inside they've decorated the place with a Bangkok vibe. Just add some leaves and it's fully Bangkok-esque. Since so many people come for lunch in Guro, there seem to be a lot of 2-person tables. But you can push two together to seat 4, so don't worry, just head on over 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ There's also a table by the window that seats up to 6, great for a semi-work-dinner at lunchtime.

Here's the menu — the three of us ordered tom yum pho, bún chả, pu pad pong curry, and shrimp spring rolls. The basic pho is good too, so I recommend everything. But I always go for tom yum haha.

The shrimp spring rolls here are fried 🍤🍤 I usually like the veggie-only spring rolls, but these are different — crispy fried and delicious~~

How fast does the food arrive at lunchtime?

Looks so good, right💛💛 And the food always comes out fast at lunchtime, which I love. Lunch hour matters to us, you know. (I once went to a bún chả place where the food came out so late that I never went back...) Speed is everything~! Seriously delicious, this is a Guro must-visit, for real.

Here's their beef fried rice(?)

This is good too, everyone should try it next time. Honestly, if it weren't lunch, I'd want a beer! 🍺🍺 I always say let's go for dinner but end up running home and forgetting. But if I'm working late and it's still open on my way, I sometimes stop by~

What comes with Thai Du's bún chả?

The bún chả comes with something like spring rolls, grilled meat, something like Korean-style patties, and rice noodles — dip it all in the sauce and it's great~ I like Eomeoi's version, but this one has more of a Thai feel.

Eat the shrimp spring rolls with the chili sauce, as an appetizer while you wait for the food.

Are the tom yum rice noodles too pungent?

This is the tom yum pho ~ it has a distinct smell, but it's not an overwhelming one, so all my friends like it. Everyone should try it at least once. I couldn't even eat this in Bangkok, but here I've become completely hooked.

Pu pad pong curry and the free bowl of rice

Last up is the pu pad pong curry. The soft-shell crab goes really well with it. And the rice is free, so everyone can eat as much as they want.

When we arrived there were only 1-2 tables taken, but suddenly it filled right up. Must be the lunch rush, people came flooding in. A lot of solo diners too, so it's a place where eating alone works fine.

Packed to the brim. Still, I think I end up coming once or twice every two weeks.
