Nowon sushi buffet for meat lovers: LA galbi, duck and lamb, Kuu Kuu

Everyone knows Kuu Kuu, right? Honestly, I'm not really into sashimi lol But I went to Kuu Kuu anyway!! Everyone in my family except me loves sushi and sashimi, so when we'd go before, I'd just pick at a few pieces of sweet and sour pork. But Kuu Kuu did a huge renewal a few years back, and now there's tons for meat-lovers like me to eat too 💡 So I've gone back a few times since, and this time I visited the Nowon branch — it was so spacious and clean I had to write this post quick ✨

Weekday dinner at 31,900 won in a 300-pyeong hall

The moment I walked in I thought "wow, this is really spacious and clean!!" Apparently it's over 300 pyeong 💡

We went a bit early for dinner, and a lot of people were already eating lol By the time we were leaving, it had gotten really crowded and busy But the food never ran low, it kept getting refilled right away so we had no issues eating

There are partitions like this so it feels private! Perfect for group gatherings — friend meetups, or even first-birthday (dol) or 100-day celebrations, the size can handle it

How big is the sushi zone at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch?

The flower 🌸🌷 of Kuu Kuu — the sushi zone. Since sushi is the main event, the sushi zone is really wide and varied lol I'm a meat person so I loaded up mostly on meat sushi, and my partner loves sashimi so they were super excited. But there were so many kinds they wanted to try everything, but couldn't because they got too full — a bit of a bummer 💦

Wait, I already thought it was huge, but the other side had just as much again lol Since it was a weekday, it seemed like only about half was being run efficiently. I can't even imagine how many people show up on weekends...

The ice cream zone They have gelato and marble ice cream!! And it's the real deal marble ice cream. I really love marble ice cream so I scooped it out by the bowlful lol My favorite is banana split, and when I looked sad because there wasn't much left, they refilled it with a fresh batch

And for meat-lovers to be satisfied too, there's a wide variety of meats — duck, lamb, LA galbi and more. So many kinds of meat your eyes just go wide~

The bingsu (shaved ice) zone People who really know their stuff pile all sorts of toppings on their bingsu!! There's frozen mango over at the fruit zone I mentioned earlier — make yourself a mango bingsu 🥭!

The drinks zone From soda to smoothies to sikhye (sweet rice punch), it really feels like "we don't know your taste so we prepared everything" lol

The waffle machine!! At Ashley Queen's it was fun making your own waffle, but at Kuu Kuu Nowon a staff member grills it for you lol Actually pretty convenient and nice

You can tell just by looking how spacious and pleasant it is right?? Cleanliness is also top-notch — they cleared plates right away while we ate, so it was comfortable to eat throughout

There's plenty of meat, which I love, and lots of pasta, pizza, and fried food too, so even if you're not a sushi killer, I think the whole family — any age, any preference — could enjoy it here! Big thumbs up for family gatherings 💕

The meat sushi was great quality too, with beef brisket, sirloin, duck and more — lots of variety

My partner's sushi plate~~ I didn't try it myself, but apparently the tuna sashimi was really really delicious lol

Spacious, pleasant, and clean — great for a date, but I thought it would also be so, so good for group gatherings! Sushi quality is great, the non-sushi meat dishes are varied and tasty too, and with parking available, it's the best!
