Handmade burgers from a chef with a Michelin background — this is Daily Fix Gangnam Main Branch.

A neighbor of mine said this place was delicious a while back and I'd been meaning to go, so I finally made it with a friend this time — introducing Daily Fix! Apparently the chef here placed 2nd at the Korea Burger Championship and worked at Michelin 3-star and 2-star restaurants! I heard it's famously loved by Kang Min-kyung haha..+_+ Between 5-7pm it's happy hour, so Stella draft beer is 1+1 — keep that in mind!

Weekday evening atmosphere: is Daily Fix good for solo dining?

I visited on a weekday evening and the vibe was great even from the outside! There are branches in Euljiro, Hannam, Jamsil, Pangyo and more, but this Gangnam location is the main branch.

The lights on the entrance sign seem to change depending on the day of the week haha, kind of neat >_<

It's clean, and the lighting is neither too dark nor too bright — just right for conversation! A great burger spot near Gangnam Station for solo dining too.

One side has floor-to-ceiling windows, so you get a nice view of the Gangnam night skyline while you eat.

There's a 2nd floor too, but it's group seating so we didn't get to go up!

They even had things like Febreze and knee blankets on hand.

Apparently it's a 'sharing restaurant' that donates a portion of profits — a good cause place.

There's a restroom inside the restaurant too, which is convenient!

You order via kiosk and they bring it to your table. If you write a Naver receipt review, they give you corn salad or coleslaw.

What we ordered at Daily Fix and how the sets work

Order: Bacon Cheese Burger Set x2 (extra Swiss cheese, regular fries, 18mm fries, signature dipping sauce)

The pastrami sandwich is also famous, and the patty melt sandwich looked delicious too. It's a burger filling but the bread is rye toast. I went with Kang Min-kyung's pick, the bacon cheeseburger! The base burger is ₩12,900, and you can add a drink or fries to make it a set.

For my set I added Swiss cheese (₩1,500) and chose Sprite with regular fries, while my friend chose 18 Fries with a drink and the signature dipping sauce. Regular fries come out McDonald's-style, while the 18mm fries are thick, chunky wedge potatoes!

You can also swap the burger bun for a pretzel bun. Highly recommend the signature dipping sauce haha!

They also sell chicken, nachos, wings, various draft beers, cocktails and whiskey! Seems like a great spot for a dinner meetup.

The eggplant fries and onion rings looked tasty too haha. If you're just popping in for a casual beer, ordering eggplant fries with 18 fries + sauce seems like a good move!

How the burgers are plated and how easy they are to eat

Drinks come out in Daily Fix's own cute cups. There's a fork and knife so you don't have to use your hands. It's not individually wrapped — it comes plated openly on a stainless steel plate! Nothing inconvenient about eating it!!

How the bacon cheeseburger and the two kinds of fries tasted

The bacon really came through, and the patty and bun were both savory and delicious. I added Swiss cheese and it went really well — good good. Both types of fries were good, and the sauce was tasty too. The 18mm fries were so filling my friend couldn't finish them and left some haha. But they're delicious, ㅠ.

One is the thick wedge-potato style! The other is the standard McDonald's-fries style. Pick based on preference, or just order both and share, hehe.

The burger patty and overall flavor were both great, and I especially loved adding the Swiss cheese! I was going through something emotionally so I couldn't fully enjoy it, sniff, but overall I could tell it was a solidly good burger.

Is the signature dipping sauce worth adding?

The signature dipping sauce is really tasty. Add it and try it!!! You'd be missing out if you just went with plain ketchup. Good choice, friend.

The juices were flowing and the burger was savory and delicious. A handmade burger really is the way to go..! >_<...
