I was looking for something to eat near Gangnam Station and finally checked out Daily Fix, which I'd been curious about for a while 🍔 This is the place that's also famous for the bacon cheese burger recommended by Kang Min-kyung, so I was curious — and my boyfriend happened to want burgers too, so we went for it.

To cut to the conclusion, after we both tried it, this place really has that American burger feel hahaha.

Daily Fix Gangnam Main Branch is at 서울 강남구 논현로85길 70 1층 102호. It's walkable from Gangnam Station, and not far from Yeoksam Station either.

There's no dedicated parking, so if you're driving, you'll need to use a nearby paid parking lot.

Hours are weekdays 11:30–23:00, weekends 11:30–21:00. We went around 8pm and it was still pretty packed. Plenty of dine-in customers, and delivery orders kept coming in too. Popular places really are different, I guess 👀

The moment we walked into Daily Fix Gangnam Main Branch, there were way more foreign customers than I expected, so it kind of felt like I'd suddenly traveled abroad haha. Overall the space is clean and sleek, with seating ranging from 2-person tables to spots for larger groups.

Since it's an open kitchen, you can catch glimpses of the burgers being made, which added to that classic burger-joint feel. Even before eating, my boyfriend said it totally looked like an American burger place and was loving it haha.

Patty Melt, 12,900 won: the most American dish at Daily Fix

The Patty Melt (₩12,900) is described as the bold flavor of a sandwich packed with all that juicy burger goodness — crispy, savory rye toast, a 100% Hanwoo (Korean beef) patty, rich Swiss cheese layered top and bottom, and deeply caramelized onion.

This was honestly the most American-feeling dish

The patty melt looked a bit different from a typical burger right from the start. Between crisply toasted, savory rye toast sits a 100% Hanwoo patty with Swiss cheese above and below, plus caramelized onion — and this combo worked way better than I expected.

Especially the sweetly caramelized onion, which balanced out the richness of the meat and cheese perfectly. Because it's toast instead of a regular bun, eating it somehow felt even more American 🇺🇸

But honestly, it was really good hahaha. With the juicy patty, rich melted cheese, and sweet onion all together, every bite felt packed with flavor.

The Bacon Cheese Burger (₩12,900) is described as a combo of house-made bacon that takes over 100 hours to prepare and a thick patty made from 100% Hanwoo beef. We added the +18mm Fries (thick-cut fries) + Coke (₩5,900).

A dish that made me think — famous for a reason

This is the bacon cheese burger that's also famous as Kang Min-kyung's recommended menu item, so I was curious too. The thick 100% Hanwoo patty comes with house-made bacon, and the patty itself was really juicy. Eaten together with the cheese, bacon, and onion, the flavors hit all at once — salty, savory, and sweet — and it was genuinely delicious.

The juice from the meat comes out moist, and because the patty is so thick, one burger alone was pretty filling. My boyfriend took one bite and said this really tastes like an American burger, and he loved it haha. We both kept saying it reminded us of burgers we'd eat while traveling abroad 😂

When you're eating a burger, you want another sip of something fizzy every now and then, right haha. This kind of service was really great.

A side worth trying if you like eggplant

Thick eggplant fries — crispy outside, moist inside. The accompanying sauce is a house-made green mayo with a celery base, and since I'm not really a fan of celery flavor to begin with, I didn't dip into the sauce 😂 But my boyfriend said it was tasty and ate it happily. So this one will probably really come down to personal taste. The eggplant fries themselves were delicious with that crispy-tender texture.

The self-bar at Daily Fix Gangnam Main Branch has disposable gloves, pickles, napkins, and wet wipes ready to go. It was convenient to just grab what you need yourself.

Having disposable gloves matters more than you'd think when eating a burger haha. With how juicy these burgers are, holding them properly with your hands really does make them taste even better 🍔

Is Daily Fix Gangnam worth a couple's dinner? Final verdict

Overall, Daily Fix leaned more American than your typical burger spot. Between all the foreign customers, the atmosphere of the place, and the rich combination of juice, cheese, and onion in both the patty melt and the bacon cheese burger, I felt like I was traveling in America the whole meal.

The Patty Melt was especially my style. The combo of rye toast, Hanwoo patty, Swiss cheese, and caramelized onion was so good, and personally it stuck with me more than a regular burger would. The bacon cheese burger was also delicious with its juicy patty, and my boyfriend liked that one even more haha.

Seeing how packed it still was at 8pm, with delivery orders constantly coming in, it seems like a go-to spot whenever people nearby are craving burgers. If you want a proper handmade burger near Gangnam Station or Yeoksam Station, it's worth a visit 🍔 We both left satisfied, saying it felt just like an American burger place haha.
