How to walk to Mini Male Coffee Roasters from Yangjae Citizens' Forest Station
Mini Male Coffee Roasters Yangjae Main Branch is about a 6-minute walk from Exit 3 of Yangjae Citizens' Forest Station on the Sinbundang Line. It's not far from the station at all, so it's a fine route for anyone looking for café desserts near Yangjae Citizens' Forest.
I visited while looking for a great coffee café in Yangjae. I was curious after hearing the coffee was good, and the Helsinki latte I drank that day ended up being the best latte of my life haha. If you like coffee, this is a Yangjae café worth stopping by at least once :)

There was one outdoor seat set up in front of the shop. On a nice-weather day like this, it seemed like the perfect spot to drink coffee outside haha. Good for when you want to sip quietly and enjoy some fresh air.

Inside Mini Male Yangjae: black-toned steel interior
Stepping inside, the interior stood out for its overall black tone and modern steel-industrial feel. That kind of steel interior can easily come off cold, but between the lighting and how the props were placed, it felt calm and cozy first. Overall it had a clean, focused-on-coffee roastery vibe, and I liked the atmosphere.

Maybe because it's such a popular café, the inside was pretty packed with customers there to enjoy coffee. Plenty of people were sitting and chatting, but new customers kept coming in, and a lot of people were also getting takeout. It seemed like this place is already well known among people who love coffee in Yangjae.

Mini Male's coffee menu: pick your own beans, plus non-coffee and cold brew
Looking at the kiosk and the counter menu board, the coffee lineup was way more varied than I expected.

I liked that with the coffee menu, you can choose your own beans depending on your taste, and the lineup was solid — from non-coffee drinks for people who don't do caffeine, to cold brew for a refreshing sip. If you like a place with lots of coffee options when hunting for a great coffee café in Yangjae, picking your menu here is pretty fun.

On one side, the beans used in the shop were also sold separately. If you brew coffee at home regularly, this looks like a good spot to come for coffee and browse the beans while you're at it. It was fun looking through the bean varieties too — coffee lovers might find themselves glancing over more than once haha.

From scones to babka: the bakery lineup at Mini Male
Not just drinks — the bakery lineup was pretty varied too. Along with nutty scones, there was a range of desserts good for pairing with coffee, and going through them one by one made me happily agonize over which bakery item to pair with which drink haha. When I'm looking for café desserts near Yangjae Citizens' Forest, I prefer a place where the bread is as good as the coffee, so this part was quite satisfying too.

Butter babka at Mini Male
Honestly I was still full from a lunch buffet, but this butter babka looked too good to pass up. It's a plain babka, golden and toasty on the outside with soft brioche layers inside, and the buttery flavor came through subtly, making it great to eat alongside coffee.
Pulling it apart layer by layer, I somehow ended up finishing almost the whole piece haha. It seemed like a bakery dessert nearly anyone would enjoy without complaint. If you're looking for café desserts near Yangjae Citizens' Forest where both the coffee and the dessert are good, this place is worth a visit.

Signature Helsinki latte: the best latte of the day
And the drink I ordered that day was the signature Helsinki latte. Genuinely nutty... subtly sweet... it became the best latte of my life ;;; It was the style where soft milk carries a gentle, lingering coffee flavor. If you're looking for coffee in Yangjae, I really want to recommend the Helsinki latte as a must-try signature.

A bite of butter babka followed by a sip of Helsinki latte — nutty and smooth together, the best combo. The kind of pairing you'd think of on a day when you want to enjoy coffee and dessert together.

Is Mini Male a good Yangjae café for a solo visit?
If you're currently looking for café desserts near Yangjae Citizens' Forest or a great coffee café in Yangjae, this one's worth keeping in mind. The overall clean, calm mood made it good both for chatting with a friend over coffee and for resting alone for a bit. Next time I'll have to try a different bean and pick out another bakery item too ☕️🥐
