A few days ago my husband told me to go hang out with friends over coffee, so I spent a great evening with my friends at a good-vibe café. It's near Imjingak so it's nice to visit as a drive, and since it's open into the late night, dropping by in the late evening felt totally stress-free — let me introduce On the Rail!

Here's the exterior of On the Rail, my recommendation for a late-night café in Munsan, Paju. It has a huge parking area so it's great to visit as part of a drive. My husband and I actually used to stop by here sometimes back when we were dating, haha — we went to Imjingak a lot to practice driving... haha. Being close to Imjingak makes it easy to swing by.

Inside On the Rail: are strollers and dogs welcome?

The inside of On the Rail is really spacious, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are allowed on the outdoor seats.

It's nice that the inside is so roomy, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seats. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor seating, and it seemed fine for pushing a stroller through too, so I'm planning to come back soon with my husband and baby^^

On the Rail menu: cheonhyehyang smoothie and two breads

At On the Rail we ordered two iced Americanos, a hallabong (Korean citrus) smoothie, and two kinds of bread. Beyond drinks, there's also a wide variety of breads and baked cookies.

On the Rail has a wide selection — not just drinks but lots of different breads too. We picked 2 iced Americanos, a hallabong smoothie, and two kinds of bread!

We came in the late afternoon so a lot of the breads were sold out already, but there were still plenty of tasty ones to choose from. The baked cookies had a good variety too!

A table at On the Rail set with an order buzzer

They let you know your order's ready with a buzzer, and out came the long sausage bread, condensed milk bread, and our drinks. All the cute little decor pieces and lighting scattered around the café caught my eye — so pretty.

How do the long sausage bread and condensed milk bread taste?

On the Rail's long sausage bread and condensed milk bread were both huge — so filling it was hard to say which one was tastier. The condensed milk bread was fluffy and sweet.

Such good-looking bread and drinks! The hallabong smoothie looked great too, right? Enjoying well-made drinks and bread in a place with a nice view, all my parenting stress just melted away, haha.

I should make more time for moments like this, haha.

The bread sizes are huge too, right??haha. The fluffy, sweet condensed milk bread was delicious too.

Since we came after my friends got off work, we ordered two kinds of bread, and both were so filling and delicious it was hard to pick a favorite. Personally, I remember being blown away by the green onion cream cheese bagel they sell here — I think that's what it was — back when my husband and I were dating. That one is genuinely delicious too, but these breads were great as well, haha.

The bread is delicious and the outdoor terrace is spacious, so it's really great for a family visit too!
