Lamb skewers and lamb rib meat for dinner in Paju: Sannaemaeul Yang
In short
Sannaemaeul Yang Kkochi & Qingdao is a lamb skewer and Chinese food restaurant on the 2nd floor of the World Tower3 building in Unjeong New Town, Paju. Arriving around 7pm and parking in the basement lot, the writer ordered 2 servings of lamb skewers and 1 serving of lamb rib meat skewers, and with the basic side dishes (including onion salad) plus a complimentary bean sprout stir-fry, ended up full without even ordering any cooked dishes. The open kitchen and cool air conditioning made for a satisfying dinner.

I went to Paju to hang out and stopped for dinner at Sannaemaeul Yang Kkochi & Qingdao (산내마을양꼬치앤칭따오), a Chinese restaurant known for lamb skewers in Paju.

2nd floor of World Tower3 in Unjeong — how's the parking?
Sannaemaeul Yang Kkochi & Qingdao is located on the 2nd floor of the World Tower3 building. It's a bit far from Unjeong Jungang Station, so I drove there and parked in the basement before heading up.

I visited around 7pm and found a parking spot right away haha. But the parking spaces are a bit narrow, so it might be tricky getting in and out — if you have a passenger, it's more convenient to drop them off first!

Taking the elevator connected directly from the basement up to the 2nd floor, the restaurant is right there, so it was super easy to find.

By the way, if you tell them before you leave, parking can be registered for free. 🚗
An open kitchen and a nice cool interior

The open kitchen visible right when you walk in was a nice touch. I think open kitchens usually show a restaurant is confident about its cooking and hygiene, which really boosts trust haha.

There were already a lot of customers when we walked in, but luckily there were open seats so we sat down right away! Ordering is conveniently done through the table order tablet ☺️
And the inside of the restaurant was so nicely cool. Usually at lamb skewer restaurants the charcoal makes it get hot fast, but the air conditioning here was so good I barely felt any heat — it was comfortable and cool.

There's also a self-serve bar running, so you can quickly and easily refill side dishes anytime.
From skewers to Chinese dishes, the menu covers it all
We had roughly picked out what to order before coming, but once we got there the menu turned out to be really varied. Besides lamb skewers, they also do Chinese food, so there were skewers, rice dishes, noodles, soups, and more.

Besides the menu on the wall, there are items only on the tablet, so it's worth checking the tablet carefully too! There are set menus, even a solo set, so anyone can walk in and order something satisfying.
Usually lamb skewer restaurants have about 3 types, but here there were more varieties like five-spice lamb skewers and seasoned lamb skewers. We decided to just go all in on lamb skewers, so we ordered 2 lamb skewers, 1 lamb rib meat skewer, and a Fanta Orange.
Basic side dishes, including onion salad
Once you order lamb skewers, the basic side dishes get set up first and they put the charcoal in.

Radish salad, peanuts, pickled mustard root, onion salad, and cumin powder are provided, and extra side dishes are available at the self-serve bar. The onion salad, which I haven't seen at other lamb skewer restaurants, was really satisfying to have on hand whenever the meal started feeling a bit greasy!

Lamb skewers vs. lamb rib meat — what's the difference?
Just so you know, each skewer menu item comes with 8 skewers (about 350g)! Regular lamb skewers have less fat so they taste clean and light, while lamb rib meat skewers have relatively more fat, giving them a richer, nuttier flavor — I'd recommend mixing both to suit your taste!

Grilling the lamb skewers well and dipping them generously in cumin powder is really delicious. 🤤

Midway through the meal, the owner brought us a complimentary bean sprout stir-fry, and eating that alongside the lamb skewers filled us up completely even though we hadn't ordered any cooked dishes separately.
Last photo — one shot of nicely grilled, delicious-looking lamb skewers!

An open kitchen, clean and spacious seating, delicious lamb skewers, and a free extra dish on top! It was such a satisfying dinner. If you're looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Paju or a spot to eat and drink in Unjeong New Town, I'd recommend this place haha.
