Double choco bread and vanilla latte at On the Rail, a Paju café
In short
On the Rail is a large bakery café by a real railway line on Imjingak-ro in Munsan-eup, Paju, Gyeonggi. Stopping by on an early-autumn drive to Imjingak, we sat inside for vanilla latte, iced americano, and double choco bread — the beans tasted nutty and the choco coating was sweet. With a flat, spacious parking lot and hours until 2am, it also works as a late-night café in Paju.

With clear early-autumn weather continuing lately, I went for a drive toward Imjingak in Paju and stopped by On the Rail café.
Why the café is called On the Rail
I was curious about the name, and it turns out there's an actual railway line running right there — hence On the Rail! The entrance to the café was literally the railway 🚊 At first I thought it was just a railway-themed concept, but it was a real, functioning train track!

Location and hours
- 📍 Address: 25 Imjingak-ro, Munsan-eup, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do
- ⏰ Hours: Mon–Sat 11:00 ~ 2:00 (next day) / Sun 11:00 ~ 24:00
- 🅿️ Parking available in front of the café

Is parking easy?
The most important thing — parking 🅿️ On the Rail has a spacious lot right in front. The spaces were plenty wide, and unlike a lot of big cafés that have gravel lots, this one was flat and paved, which I really appreciated.

Indoor vibe and photo zone
Inside, there are lots of green plants, giving off a cozy, warm feeling 🌿 There's seating both indoors and outdoors, and since there was plenty of room inside, I chose to sit there!

A spot that looked great for photos. A lot of kids seemed to be among the café's visitors, and there was a photo zone that looked perfect for them 📸

There was also a display case with cookies you could buy as gifts. With such pretty furniture, everything felt a bit more upscale! 🥖

Bakery options and what we picked
So many kinds of bread 🥖🍞 There was the café's steady-seller salt bread, plus croissants, cookies, tarts, and more. Every single piece looked delicious. After some deliberation, I picked the double choco bread with chocolate inside because it looked amazing!

Restroom, self-service zone, and other amenities
There's a restroom inside the café, which was convenient. It was pretty clean, too.

A self-service zone where you can grab what you need. And since bread can go cold while you're chatting and eating, I thought it was such a thoughtful touch that they have a microwave on hand. You can always eat your bread warm _

A must-have for any big café... Pororo drinks. They had Pororo drinks ready too, which kids seem to love!

Train schedule and things to know before visiting
Since real trains actually run through here, there was a train schedule posted on the wall. 🐕 Pets aren't allowed, so please keep that in mind! 🙅🏻♀️ And of course, one menu item per person is just common courtesy.

Drink menu and ordering
They had coffee, smoothies, tea, and ades on the menu. I went back and forth with iced americano and ended up ordering one vanilla latte and one americano! The peach smoothie and hallabong smoothie looked delicious too...
While waiting for the coffee, we checked out the outdoor area too! The real charm of On the Rail... their outdoor café setup is genuinely well done.

What's the outdoor terrace like?
There's an outdoor terrace space too, so you could enjoy your time indoors and then move outside to keep going.

The weather was so nice that day, I thought eating outside would have been great too. Going out there, there were actually a lot of people enjoying the café outdoors. And the parasols outside gave it a bit of a vacation feeling.
How the vanilla latte, americano, and double choco bread tasted
Vanilla latte and iced americano ☕️ and the double choco bread 🥖

The beans in both the vanilla latte and the americano were overall nutty and tasty. And the choco bread had its outer coating well-covered in chocolate...

The choco bread was sweet and delicious too. Even though this is a large café in Paju, the drink prices weren't overly expensive, and the bread was priced reasonably as well. And the fact that it's an uncommon railway-themed café was a big strength. There are so many large cafés in Paju, but this one is great to stop by while driving to Imjingak! Since it's open late, I'd also recommend it as a late-night café in Paju... ⭐️
