I got a Re-born repair dye at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch near Sinnonhyeon Station to tone down my hair to toffee brown. Feels like I only just dyed it, but the yellow tone was already creeping back up again...

I dye my hair pretty often, so my biggest stress is that particular bright yellow-brown it fades into over time. Since it's also getting into fall, I decided I wanted to bring the whole tone down this time, so I asked Designer Yeeun at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch for something in the toffee brown family.
Where is Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch, and where do you park?
Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch is located on the 2nd floor above ground at 14 Gangnam-daero 110-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It's a fairly short walk from Sinnonhyeon Station, and you can also walk there from Gangnam Station!!
- Hours: Daily 10:00–20:00
- Reservation: Available via Naver Reservation
- Parking: Parking support during treatment time if using Jeil Parking Lot
So if you're searching for a Sinnonhyeon Station hair salon, this should be pretty convenient by public transit. It also works well if you've got plans near Gangnam Station and want to combine them, so it's a fine option for anyone searching for a Gangnam Station hair salon too.
Inside the salon and the color consultation

It's super spacious and comfortable.
After filling out the chart, I got a welcome tea, then started the color consultation with Designer Yeeun. I told her the thing bothering me most right now was the yellow tone coming up as the dye faded, and since it's fall, I wanted to go a full tone darker for something calmer rather than something too bright.

Instead of jumping straight into the hair, we started with the chart and consultation first. Since my color fades so quickly, we deliberately picked one shade darker — not black, but a brown that fades nicely!
Re-born repair dye in taupe brown: price and process

What I got was Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch's Re-born repair dye. On my experience listing, the women's Re-born repair color base price showed as ₩180,000, and with the length surcharge it came to the low ₩200,000s. What's different from regular dyeing is that a protein ampoule is mixed right into the dye — it's basically a clinic treatment done together with the coloring!

My chestnut hair, gone very yellow, ugh.

Once the color was decided, the actual dyeing began. First, she carefully applied a scalp protectant.

A whole protein ampoule goes right into the dye mixture.

And I was a little surprised when I saw the dye — it was a completely mint color. That mint dye look I keep seeing in reels and shorts lately, so it was kind of fascinating to see in person. Mint brown, apparently haha.

I got coffee partway through too!

Designer Yeeun and two other staff split my hair up and applied the dye fast — their hands were genuinely quick. But not rushed-feeling — they sectioned it carefully and applied it thoroughly all the way through.

My forehead really is huge lol — they applied it thoroughly all the way to the roots and then let the color develop.

Shampoo room and the finishing blow-dry
Once the dyeing was done, I moved to the shampoo room. There's actually another thing I remember besides the color result — the assistant who washed my hair had genuinely cool, refreshing hands haha. After sitting through the long dye process and finally lying back, having my scalp washed that thoroughly felt like it washed away my fatigue too.

The wash also used a dedicated clinic shampoo and treatment! It rinsed out all the remaining chemical thoroughly before I went back to my seat.
At the end, she didn't over-style it — just a light blow-dry that let the natural texture of the hair show.
She used a dedicated hair oil too.

The taupe brown result: did the brassy yellow go away?
Before, the overall brown looked lighter with yellow and orange tones jumping out. After the dye, those warm tones dropped way down and it settled into a much darker, calmer toffee brown.

Oh my gosh, so pretty. In the light it doesn't read as pure black — a bit of brown still shows through, and I liked that. I didn't want it to feel heavy and flat like straight black, and this brought the tone down to just the right level for fall!!

So much shine 🤍🤍 Even in photos you can really see how neat and glossy the texture looks overall. I was a little worried that toning down after dyeing so often would make my hair look more dry and frizzy, but doing it together with the Re-born repair dye this time actually left my hair looking more well-kept — very satisfied 🥹🥹

And there's actually an instant photo booth space inside Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch. You can get your hair fully done and take a photo right away lol.
Is the Re-born repair dye at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch worth it?

If you dye your hair often like me and hate how it goes brassy over time, I'd recommend a tone-down color like this toffee brown. Most of all, since my hair had already been dyed many times, I liked doing the Re-born repair dye with protein ampoules this time rather than just changing the color alone. Designer Yeeun was quick and thorough, so even a full-length dye on long hair wrapped up in about two hours, and the result matched exactly what I'd asked for at the start — very satisfied!
If you're around Sinnonhyeon searching for a Sinnonhyeon Station hair salon, or looking for somewhere near Gangnam Station to get a tone-down dye, Designer Yeeun at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch is worth considering. It's not far from Seocho either, so if you're comparing options with Seocho-dong hair salons too, it might be worth checking the location and booking accordingly ••🪽🪽
