The Mignon Seoul, a spot I'd recommend for engagement party gatherings and date nights
The day the three of us finally decided to get together after ages apart. I wanted to pick somewhere nice so we could really catch up, so I went looking for a pretty spot near Sinnonhyeon Station and found The Mignon Seoul. I'd only seen it in photos before — finally getting to go in person ♥︎ I'm already excited.

How to get to The Mignon Seoul from Sinnonhyeon Station

Head toward Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6, then duck slightly into the alley off Gangnam-daero's landmark street and you'll find it.

Even from a distance, the European-style facade decked out with flower pots and flowers really catches the eye.

Such a good vibe.. the kind of exterior you'd probably glance at even just walking by! Since it's set up over two floors, I figured seating wouldn't be a worry even coming as a group.
Inside the first and second floors: best table for three

There are flowers and pots placed here and there, so it's great for photos, and just sitting there kind of lifts your mood a little. Isn't this basically interior designed to win women's hearts..

Went up to the second floor too!

There were tables that looked like engagement party gatherings, and couple seats that felt very blind-date, so the atmosphere definitely varies from spot to spot.

We settled into a table that fit three of us nicely — spacing was generous and it wasn't noisy, so it was perfect for a relaxed catch-up chat.

It felt like a space that would work equally well for a date or a group get-together.

The weekday evening mood was really nice haha

The lighting mood was so cozy and warm. I bet this gets really popular around the end of the year!

Seasonal fruit ricotta cheese salad (18,000 won)

Soft ricotta topped with fruit piled up piece by piece — visually gorgeous. Apple, tangerine, lemon, cranberry, tomato — eating it piece by piece was so good...

The fragrant arugula scent comes through first, and the first bite is fresh and sweet. The ricotta is soft and creamy, while the tomato and fruit bring a tangy-sweet balance.

Totally recommend this as a starter if you want to gently wake up your appetite or if you like a refreshing salad. It's pretty from the appetizer on, which just puts you in a good mood..🫶
Bisque pasta (24,000 won)

A reddish sauce topped with grilled king prawns — luxurious looking at a glance.
The first bite brings deep umami, the distinct rich flavor of bisque sauce spreading through your whole mouth.
The noodles aren't the long kind but wheel-shaped, so it was fun picking them up one by one. Chewy, well coated in sauce — kept reaching for more.
Truffle mushroom gnocchi (23,000 won)

Crowned the most popular dish of the night! The truffle scent hits first, and with the bacon and mushrooms alongside, the savory smell keeps tickling your nose.
There's a cream-cheese-like softness, and the gnocchi itself is very chewy. Soft and mild enough that even first-time gnocchi eaters would enjoy it easily.
Sirloin cap steak (45,000 won)

The sirloin cap comes out neatly sliced, cooked to a perfect medium.

A subtle savory aroma rises up, and the first bite is tender with the juices still alive. Pairing it with the napa cabbage and mashed potato brings out even more flavor, and the grilled cauliflower and peppers matched really well too. It's steak, but not heavy, so the three of us cleaned the plate without any trouble.
Is The Mignon Seoul good for engagement gatherings or a first date?

Started light with salad, filled up on umami with the pasta, won over our hearts with the gnocchi, and finished off solidly with the steak. Perfect flow-! Accessibility was great from either Sinnonhyeon or Gangnam Station, and the bright interior made it great for photos too. It'd work well for a girls' get-together, and just as easily for an engagement party gathering or a blind date without feeling like too much. If you come during the day, the brunch menu — popover pancakes, open sandwiches — has me curious too. ♥︎
