Current state of my hair = neglected. I've just been letting it grow and grow lol When did it get this long.....??? Even I didn't notice lol After hearing about thirty thousand times at work that my hair was really long, I finally decided to get it done.
But it's really too long ^^... Drying it was getting so tiring!!! So today!! I finally made up my mind to get my hair done, searched around, and landed on Heeol Hair Gangnam Flagship Store — close to work and with a good range of styles!!!!
Taking lots of before photos is basically mandatory ^.^ But is it just me, or does my hair always look better than usual right before an appointment lol

The moment I walked in, I felt how clean and cozy the space was.
The seats were spaced out really well too, so it felt like it'd be comfortable to get your hair done!!!! ⬇️ before ⬇️ I asked the designer to take a photo of the back of my hair lol and I was seriously shocked looking at the photo...!!! I had no idea it was this long ㄷㄷㄷ
From the front it's not quite as bad... but wait, am I seeing a ghost? You can see the faint remains of an old perm lol First, a quick shampoo The shampoo chair was comfortable and they even covered me with a blanket during the wash.... so sweet 💕

When booking at Heeol Hair Gangnam Flagship Store, you first select which perm you want, and cut + perm + root perm + clinic come as a set, so you can get it all without any extra charges!!👍👍 I booked with designer Arin, whose treatment photos matched my style the most ^.^ Honestly, with some places, extras get tacked on even after you've checked the price list, so it was great that everything was included in the perm price!
First, here's the hush cut! Just the cut alone tidied up my hair so much. I mentioned I like a lot of layering, so she switched from a CS perm to a hush cut + hush perm. Halfway through the cut, I suddenly said I wanted even more layers, and she didn't seem the least bit bothered — she pulled up reference photos and really understood what I wanted ㅜㅜ
After the cut, they gave me a drink and snacks ^.^ I'm off tomorrow too, so I'm definitely getting an iced americano~
How the hush perm was done, from pre-treatment to neutralizing
The perm happens in a slightly more comfortable seat ^.^
This is the pre-treatment step to help the perm take better. I took a photo because I looked like I was going bald lol This whole process was new to me, so it was fascinating!!
And then the actual perm begins. Not a single hot or tight spot, totally comfortable~~ Neutralizing plus the protein clinic happens lying down! When you neutralize sitting up, your head can get itchy, but lying down it's much more comfortable ^.^ I lay there relaxed for about 10 minutes to let the protein soak in properly.
How to blow-dry a hush perm so the curls show
And then she explained really well how to dry it in a way that brings out the curl!! Part it in half, curl the front forward, curl the top section backward — that's how you get the signature flicked-out shape of a hush perm!!!! ⬇️ after ⬇️

Ta-da!! No flat iron xxxx This curl came out from blow-drying alone!! The layers are holding up so well and the direction of the flick is so pretty ㅜㅜ
The curl looks so pretty from every angle!! This is my first time getting a hush cut and hush perm, and it's so charming.
The front looks super pretty too!! Getting the cut right first really made the perm pop even more!! That heavy feeling is definitely gone, and it looks light and fresh — I'm so satisfied 👍👍
