Today I took a stroll through Ikseon-dong in Jongno after a while away. Wandering the atmospheric alleys worked up my appetite, so I stopped by a place famous as an Ikseon-dong pizza restaurant: Backstreet Pizza.
It's just a 3-minute walk from Jongno 3-ga Station, so it's easy to get to, and it's perfectly placed for the Jongno pub street or a Jongno date course. Let me tell you about my experience enjoying cold beer and delicious pizza in a hip, distinctive space!

Cheese & Patty Bomb

Potato Rilla
A signature menu item where sweet, savory french fries are piled up like a mountain on top of the pizza. It's the textbook definition of sweet-and-salty, with a charm that never gets old.
Pepperoni Shotgun
Salty pepperoni packed on densely, giving off a classic yet deep pizza flavor.
All four flavors had distinct charms, so every bite brought a new kind of enjoyment. The dough was chewy and the cheese generous, so I got to taste a perfectly crisp-outside, chewy-inside pizza.
Pairing it with cold beer (or a soft drink) made a whole week's worth of fatigue melt away. The salty, savory flavor of the pizza combined with the refreshing chill of the beer was a perfect 'pizza and beer' combo!
