Whenever there's an engagement invitation gathering with friends or a get-together with people I love, I always look for a Western restaurant with a great atmosphere and food that everyone can agree on.
This time I went to a place in Yangjae-dong that has exactly the right vibe and impressive food for a cheongcheopjang (engagement invitation) gathering.

It's Pasta Gram, a pasta spot in Yangjae that's become famous by word of mouth.

Pasta Gram near Yangjae Citizen's Forest Station: is it right for a group gathering?
Pasta Gram Yangjae Main Branch is easy to get to near Yangjae Citizen's Forest Station, and the place had a clean, cozy feel from the exterior all the way through the interior.
The lighting was soft enough that conversation felt easy, and the tables were spaced comfortably, making it a solid choice for engagement gatherings, date nights, or family dinners alike. The staff were also really kind, so we could sit down happily from the moment we arrived.

What our group ordered at Pasta Gram
That day, after some deliberation with the group, we put together a menu that was good for sharing a variety of things. We ordered a crisp, fresh garden salad, the restaurant's signature spicy bacon cream pasta, and an appealing Margherita pizza — a solid lineup.

Margherita pizza
The Margherita pizza came out freshly baked, and the warmth of the dough and the savory scent of the cheese was captivating.
On top of a thin, crisp, golden-baked crust sat red tomato sauce, white mozzarella, and fragrant basil, arranged so beautifully that the look alone made me hungry.

When I lifted a slice, the cheese stretched softly and wrapped my mouth in savory flavor. The tomato sauce sandwiched underneath tasted fresh and deeply umami rather than artificial, pairing perfectly with the rich savoriness of the mozzarella.
The edge of the crust was crisp outside and chewy and plain inside, great for enjoying the bread itself. It was a taste of an authentic Margherita where the ingredients came together in harmony without being overpowering.

Garden salad
The garden salad, served as a starter, looked fresh and tidy.

It came with a colorful mix of green leafy vegetables still full of freshness, cherry tomatoes, and a savory dressing.

Every bite of the vegetables came with a crisp, crunchy texture, and the fresh but not overpowering dressing lightly filled the mouth. It was the perfect appetizer before the meal, and eating a bit in between bites of the savory, salty pizza or pasta rinsed the palate cleanly — very satisfying.

Spicy bacon cream pasta with thick noodles
Next, the spicy bacon cream pasta I tried with high expectations turned out to be the clear best dish of the meal.

When ordering, I took the staff's recommendation and switched the noodles to a thick type (fettuccine-style), and that swap was truly an excellent choice — a real stroke of genius. Unlike typical thin pasta noodles, these were wide and thick, so they came loaded with the spicy, hearty cream sauce in every bite.
Thanks to being cooked just right — not overdone, with a good bite left — the more I chewed, the more I could really feel the noodle's own savoriness and chewy texture. The sauce flavor was also better than expected.
Pasta Gram, a pasta specialist known as a Yangjae food spot, impressed me thoroughly, with well-made dishes crafted carefully from fresh ingredients as well as a comfortable, great-atmosphere space. Neither the taste, the portion, nor the mood fell short, and I felt it was a really good choice as a place to treat people I care about for a cheongcheopjang gathering.

If you're near Yangjae-dong or Yangjae Citizen's Forest and looking for a Western restaurant that never disappoints, or thinking about a gathering spot for a great meal with good conversation, definitely visit Pasta Gram!

There was a deep, savory richness from the thick, creamy sauce as the base, while a subtle spiciness lingered at the end, so it never felt greasy even down to the last bite.

The golden-fried bacon was generous, and every bite released salty juices and a smoky char, while the spicy, savory cream sauce and thick noodles came together in perfect balance for a genuinely enjoyable meal. If you like cream pasta, I strongly recommend trying it with the thick noodle swap.
