Gangnam hair salon wedding cool brown color: Beorn Hair Cheongdam

One week before the wedding, I decided to get my hair colored

A salon visit one week before my wedding~~ I had originally planned to get married without coloring my hair, but suddenly felt like I might regret not doing anything, haha. So I went to Beorn Hair Cheongdam for color. I booked ahead before visiting.

Beorn Hair Cheongdam was on the second floor of the building. It was right in front of Gangnam-gu Office Station, so it was super easy to get to!! Another friend who is getting married soon said she was going for a hanbok consultation, and it was in this very building, which was funny haha.

If you drive, they said to turn on your hazard lights and use valet parking in front of the valet booth opposite 40-10 Cheongdam-dong. Valet parking was ₩4,000.

The salon was really clean, and the interior was pretty too. I had to sit there for a few hours, so I loved that it felt comfortable and pleasant!!

They also gave me a drink and cookies to have while getting my hair done. There were Americanos, juice, iced tea, and more! I wanted the cookies, but I had overeaten at a buffet before coming, so I held myself back ㅠ

First, the state of my hair before coloring..!! I had been wearing it tied up, so there were tie marks left in it oㅅo. I used to color and perm my hair really often, but as I got older it became such a hassle that I just left it alone ㅠㅠ So at this point, it was just my natural hair.. Not completely black, but a slightly brown shade!

I told Hyesung, the associate director who was taking care of my hair that day, that my wedding was a week away, and we started with a hair-color consultation. Since it was for the wedding, I did not want anything too bright. I mentioned wanting a chocolate-brown feel that is popular for wedding color, and she recommended a red-free cool brown shade!

She said my current hair tone was close to level 6, so we decided to go one level lighter to level 7, haha. I looked it up and saw that level 7 is a common choice for wedding hair color. I went in without researching properly, but she handled everything so perfectly and thoughtfully—I loved it >< All of Beorn Hair's designers have more than 10 years of experience, so I could trust them with my hair.

First, she sprayed on scalp protection, then carefully applied the color~~

After all the color was applied, I let it process for a while. She applied it once more, checked the color, and then I moved to the shampoo room.

The shampoo felt so refreshing, and she washed my hair carefully, so I could lie there comfortably the whole time!!

And then, the long-awaited result! I also asked her to tidy my ends and my face-framing pieces, and she cut them so neatly and prettily~

Looking in the salon mirror, I thought the change did not show much, but once I came outside, it was definitely noticeable! It was such a pretty, natural brown in the light, and I loved it. She gave me exactly the color I wanted, so happy~~ Even though I had colored it, my hair did not feel very damaged; it was soft and swishy, which was great!!

This is the color in indoor light~~ She said it would become slightly lighter by the wedding day, but even now, three days after coloring it, it is still not too bright and is such a natural brown—I love it haha. Thanks to this, I will be able to walk into my wedding venue with pretty hair. Such a successful wedding color!!
