I go to Siheung Premium Outlets a lot since it's near my place, and there's one spot I always stop by whenever I visit. It's a restaurant called Pyeongi Dambaek Bone Kalguksu, known for its unusual combo of gamjatang (spicy pork bone soup) and kalguksu (knife-cut noodles). It's tucked into the food court inside the mall, so it's perfect for when you get hungry after a lap around the outlets.

As most of you probably know, Siheung Premium Outlets is close to nearby attractions like Oido, Soraepogu, and Daebudo, so it's a shopping spot that draws a lot of visitors.

Pyeongi Dambaek Bone Kalguksu sits inside TASTE VILLAGE. Just think of it as the food court where a bunch of restaurants are gathered — easy to find.

It already had a solid reputation, but after being featured on a food show, it got even more famous — enough to open branches all over the country.

One reason I trust this place is hygiene — the open kitchen that's visible from outside stays clean even during the busiest rush.

There's no assigned seating, so you're free to sit anywhere open in the food court. That said, it gets crowded enough on weekend peak hours that grabbing a seat takes some effort.

There was a promotion running at the time — free dumplings with purchases over ₩30,000, and free suyuk over ₩40,000 — worth keeping in mind.

Is the gabrisal suyuk set enough for one person?

I ordered the gabrisal suyuk set, said to be the most popular item on the Pyeongi Dambaek Bone Kalguksu menu. I added dumplings and rice separately.

Besides the clear broth, there's a spicy version too, and you can swap the noodles for rice. I wanted both noodles and rice, so I added rice on top of the set.

Honestly, the basic set alone looked like it would fill you up. The portions are generous, and there's plenty of variety to enjoy in one meal.

With freshly made geotjeori (fresh cabbage kimchi) and spicy chili relish, plus a special sauce, gabrisal suyuk, kalguksu, and bone all together, it's hard to believe this is meant as a single-person menu — the spread is that generous.

The set can also be swapped for pollack salad or dumplings, but personally I prefer the gabrisal suyuk. The texture was soft and tender — quite delicious.

I think one of the biggest draws of Pyeongi Dambaek Bone Kalguksu is that it's rare to enjoy suyuk together with kalguksu while eating solo.

Dip it in the special sauce — soy sauce mixed with mustard, garlic, and chili oil — and the savory depth really comes alive.

The clear bone kalguksu at Pyeongi Dambaek Bone Kalguksu comes out in a bowl piled high. The noodles and meat are almost hidden under a generous layer of yellow egg garnish (gyeran jidan).

Once you push the egg garnish aside, the first thing you see is the pork neck bone — the size and thick chunks of meat are just like what you'd find in gamjatang.

They say it's simmered with neck bones, vegetables, and medicinal herbs together — softer and meatier than backbone, with thick meat still clinging to it.

Before I got to the noodles, I honestly wasn't sure if I'd come for gamjatang or kalguksu. There are three whole bones, so picking the meat off is its own fun.

The noodles are fresh, boiled directly in a clear broth aged for 24 hours. The broth doesn't just sit on top — it soaks all the way into the noodles.

I topped it with geotjeori kimchi and slurped it down, then enjoyed the lean meat and suyuk alongside it for a really lavish bowl of kalguksu.

Adding five dumplings and eating it like mandu-guk

The dumplings at Pyeongi Dambaek Bone Kalguksu are a side menu of 5 pieces for ₩6,000. The set alone is plenty, but I'd read reviews saying they're great swirled into the broth like mandu-guk (dumpling soup), so I ordered them too.

They're meat dumplings, so they're a crowd-pleasing side that anyone can enjoy.

The filling was packed full, and when I swirled the dumplings into the broth with rice, mandu-guk style, it felt like a completely different dish.

Shopping around the outlets can easily rack up close to 10,000 steps, and filling up on a solid meal at this Siheung Premium Outlets restaurant makes the rest of the day feel a lot lighter.

The idea of putting gamjatang and kalguksu together in one bowl felt fresh, and the portions are generous for the price — one of the Siheung Premium Outlets restaurants I keep coming back to. It's a satisfying place to fill an empty, tired stomach while wandering the huge mall.
