Where is Grill Duck, and can you bring a pet inside?
Grill Duck is a large restaurant located 5 minutes from Starfield Bucheon. The signature menu includes grilled duck/jumulleok (marinated meat)/bulgogi and raw Korean pork. There's also barbecue cooked in a jar (hangari) that lets the fat drip off nicely. Indoor pet dining is possible (no pet strollers; cushion or carrier required).

It's near Starfield, so it fits perfectly into a shopping-and-dining route (8 minutes on foot). The restaurant is spacious, making it a great spot for family or group gatherings.

There's a wide parking lot behind the restaurant. They were also growing lettuce and other wrap vegetables in a plastic greenhouse.

I also spotted the jars used for grilling the barbecue. It would've been nice to see them actually grilling — a bit of a shame I missed that.

Grill Duck, a well-known spot in Okgil-dong, Bucheon, has been featured on SBS Biz before — a mukbang YouTuber visited. On chillier days, the hot duck soup would be great too.

Seating and break time at Grill Duck
Four-person tables line the edges of the restaurant, with group tables in the middle. I came around 5pm on a Saturday and it was already pretty busy. Note: there's no break time on weekends (weekday break time is 15:00–17:00).
Grill Duck menu and prices
Grill Duck Hangari Barbecue's menu board, a well-known spot in Bucheon

Here's the menu board for this duck grill restaurant near Starfield Bucheon. A whole raw duck (800g) is ₩53,000 — quite reasonable. For meal options, there's duck hot pot in a ttukbaegi (stone pot) or over rice. I ordered the half-and-half duck with the new buckwheat noodles. The hangari barbecue caught my curiosity too — I'll definitely have to try it next time.

The first round of side dishes is brought to you, and after that you help yourself at the self-bar. The green onion kimchi was really good.
Four health benefits of duck meat

What are the benefits of duck meat? Here's what was written on the sign in the restaurant, copied as is.
- It contains a large amount of water-soluble unsaturated fatty acids, which is good for preventing obesity and skin aging. It's also said to help with high blood pressure, diabetes, gastritis, neuralgia, arthritis, and osteoporosis.
- It has a blood-purifying effect, helping to detoxify harmful substances like heavy metals that build up in the body.
- It's the only alkaline food among meats, helping to shift an acidic body constitution toward alkaline, which is said to help prevent various diseases.
- Lastly, it's said to be good for diarrhea, dysentery, and women's health issues.
I had no idea duck meat was such a healthy food — especially that it's an alkaline meat. I should eat it more often.

Half-and-half duck, 800g: enough for 2–3 people
The marinated duck (jumulleok) and raw duck came out. If you want to try both the marinated and raw versions, I recommend the half-and-half set. At 800g, it was just right for 2–3 people.

It looks like a small portion when separated out, but the amount really adds up as you eat.

New on the menu: spicy buckwheat noodles (makguksu)
The spicy buckwheat noodles also arrived. There's already sauce mixed in, but extra sauce comes on the side if you want more to taste. Even though it's a mixed (bibim) noodle dish, it has perilla oil in it, giving it a nutty, delicious flavor.

There's a piece of boiled duck (suyuk) mixed in too — so good. If it feels too thick, add some of the broth that comes with it. The noodles were soft and chewy, and the sweet-and-tangy sauce was really delicious — it paired well with the meat too. Just stir the jumulleok occasionally as it cooks. The smell was amazing.

Gas burner for marinated duck, charcoal for fresh duck
They use a gas burner for the marinated jumulleok and charcoal for the raw duck. It took a little while for the charcoal to catch fire, but once lit, the heat was intense and the meat cooked quickly.

You just grill it until golden brown like this. My family loves garlic, so we grilled a huge pile of it.

Let's try the jumulleok first. The seasoning wasn't too strong, so it was easy to eat even without rice. Since we planned to order chive fried rice, we just ate the meat on its own.

It also pairs perfectly with lettuce wraps. The wrap vegetables were really fresh — not sure if they grow them themselves, haha.

Time to try the raw duck. I've had raw duck elsewhere before and was disappointed because it had less meaty flavor than other meats and tasted rather plain — but true to its reputation as a great spot near Starfield Bucheon, this one had a rich meaty flavor and a nice chewy texture.
What to finish with after the duck
Time for the K-dessert — fried rice, right? You grill the meat yourself, but the staff cooks the fried rice for you.

After the jumulleok, I ordered the chive fried rice too. They chopped up the leftover meat finely and stir-fried it in with the rice. It was packed with chives, which paired perfectly with the duck. You have to try it!!

Takeout at Grill Duck comes with 10% off
There's a way to enjoy Grill Duck's meat menu even more affordably — takeout, which gets you 10% off. The prices were already great value, but takeout makes it even better. I'm honestly jealous of the residents of Okgil-dong, Bucheon.

They also have brewed coffee, hot chocolate, and instant coffee mix, perfect for a palate cleanser afterward. With ice and cups available too, you can even make yourself an iced Americano — no need to stop by a separate café.

That wraps up my visit to this duck restaurant near Starfield Bucheon. The set menu options were great and the value for money was excellent. It works for both group gatherings and pet-friendly outings, so come and enjoy some delicious duck~~
