I went to Saeng Augustine Hapjeong Branch, a Hapjeong Station restaurant inside Mecenatpolis~! Saeng Augustine Hapjeong Branch is on the B1 level of Mecenatpolis, and you can just park in the Mecenatpolis basement! They gave us a generous 3.5 hours of parking.

Saeng Augustine is a Thai and Asian food specialist that cooks over 60 Thai/Asian dishes fresh every day, apparently. Poo pad pong curry, tom yum goong, pho, som tam, nasi goreng, sea bass dishes, beef dishes and more are all made to order with fresh ingredients! They also have a wide range of alcohol — draft beer, soju, Chinese liquor, wine, highballs and more.

Saeng Augustine Hapjeong Branch also takes Naver reservations and group bookings, so lots of people visit for family gatherings, work dinners, dates, wedding invitation get-togethers and more! The interior was spacious with lots of tables, and there were separate 4-person, 6-person, and 12-person rooms!

• Kids Set A. Tod mun goong + poo pad pong curry + Vietnamese pho + shrimp crab fried rice ₩66,000
• Kids Set B. Kai yang + poo pad pong curry + Vietnamese pho + shrimp crab fried rice + pad see ew ₩88,000

There were also drink and alcohol promotions running, so we could get Stella draft beer, Chinese liquor, ades and more at a good price!

What comes with the 59,000 won A Set?

We ordered the A Set, which is the combo of tod mun goong, poo pad pong curry, and giant prawn pad thai for ₩59,000.

Starter: tod mun goong (Thai shrimp cakes)

First out was the appetizer, tod mun goong! Tod mun goong is fried shrimp balls, and the shrimp meat was completely bouncy and springy~! Make sure to dip it in the chili sauce that comes with it!

Poo pad pong curry, the signature dish with free sauce refills

Poo pad pong curry, Saeng Augustine's signature main dish! Poo pad pong curry is soft-shell crab fried whole, shell and all, until crispy, served with curry sauce! I love poo pad pong curry so much I've been to tons of Thai restaurants, and among all of them, Saeng Augustine's is genuinely soft and delicious!

Maybe because it came out freshly fried, it was crispy and moist at the same time — amazing! You mix the poo pad pong curry gently into rice, and the sauce is free to refill, so make sure you refill it! Rice was an extra ₩2,000~!

How to eat the giant prawn pad thai

And then my second favorite dish at Saeng Augustine, giant prawn pad thai! Nobody beats Saeng Augustine at pad thai ^.ㅠ

They also bring out chopped Thai chili on the side, so you can sprinkle it on to taste! I always go for max spicy, so I dump on all the sauces~! And if you squeeze lemon juice all around and mix it with crushed peanuts, it's seriously so good! The shrimp were packed in there generously too, and the combination of noodles and shrimp was fantastic haha.

Saeng Augustine Hapjeong Branch is a must-visit if you're at Hapjeong's Mecenatpolis! All the staff were kind and everything we ate was delicious! They gave us plenty of parking time too, so I think I'll come back next time I'm in Hapjeong. I recommend Saeng Augustine as a Mecenatpolis Hapjeong restaurant!
