Siheung Baegot all-you-can-eat eel dinner for two: Songnim Bok Jangeo
In short
Songnim Bok Jangeo Unlimited Freshwater Eel Siheung Baegot Direct Branch is an all-you-can-eat freshwater eel restaurant in the Baegot new town district of Siheung, Gyeonggi. Doubting that a refill eel place could be any good, I went with my husband and grilled plump eel with no fishy taste, plus pork belly and duck neck I was trying for the first time, then ordered a second round. At 29,900 won per adult, with pork belly good enough for a dedicated barbecue restaurant, Songnim Bok Jangeo is worth booking for a family meal or a work dinner.

Why an all-you-can-eat eel skeptic traveled to Baegot
Lately my family's been really into health. I've been reading up on supplements, and we've both gotten into the idea of body maintenance. But we can't give up eating well either, so it's a bit of a bind — so I decided, why not eat something healthy AND delicious. My husband said we should go eat eel for our health, and suggested 'Songnim Bok Jangeo Unlimited Refill Siheung Baegot branch.'
I was a little... I said all-you-can-eat eel places aren't great, that I don't trust the quality of the eel at those places. My husband said he went there for a work dinner and the eel was good, so let's just trust him and go. But wow — the eel quality at an all-you-can-eat place could be like this?! Good thing I came along!!!
Right, I forgot — my husband eats a lot, but he's also a foodie. If something's fishy or off, he eats even less than I do. Anyway, totally recognized this as a new go-to eel spot! But wait, all-you-can-eat?

✔️ They say they bring in live eel every morning, freshly prepared from eel farms and wholesale markets. Even though the price is affordable, unlike other all-you-can-eat places they don't thaw frozen stock — they catch it fresh daily.
✔️ Besides freshwater eel, you can also enjoy top-grade pork belly and chewy duck neck.
✔️ The eel soup is made in-house, simmered and blended with every part of the eel, so it's characteristically rich.
How much does the eel buffet cost?
Here's the menu board ^^ Adults ₩29,900, children (elementary school) ₩14,000, table setting fee ₩3,000 (excluding children), with a 2-hour time limit for the buffet.

Cook the skin side first, you know the drill~ I looked up the health benefits of eel and it's basically good for everything. There's nothing quite like eel for eating well and staying healthy.

Side dishes and the self-serve bar at Songnim Bok Jangeo
The basic side dishes are rinsed aged kimchi, pickled onion, ginger, eel sauce, green onion kimchi, garlic, ssamjang (dipping sauce), and lettuce, set on the table like this at first. After that, you help yourself from the self-serve bar.

It hasn't been open long, so the place is super clean.

Inside there are 4-person tables and group seating, so it works for dates, family meals, treating your parents, meeting friends, work dinners — any kind of gathering.

Is the freshwater eel fishy? Plump, nutty and clean-tasting
Cook the eel skin-side first, then cut it neatly and line it up to cook a bit more. Is it called bok jangeo because the meat is so plump and springy? It's not fishy at all — completely savory.
Ate it plain, wrapped in perilla leaves, wrapped in lettuce — all of it.

Round two at the grill: pork belly and duck neck
Now round two. The pork belly is delicious too. First time trying duck neck — chewy and savory.

Ate a whole extra platter of eel. If the eel weren't good, it'd be hard to eat this much.

Pork belly on the left, eel on the right: surprisingly good pork
The pork belly quality, what is this~~~ This is the pork belly at an all-you-can-eat eel place? Not exactly guardians of the four directions, but pork belly on the left, eel on the right. We gently pushed the already-cooked eel aside and grilled the pork belly at the same time. If the eel were even slightly fishy this would be tough to pull off, but the eel was great on its own and the pork belly was great on its own too, so double win 🤣🤣🤣

For an all-you-can-eat eel place to have pork belly this good says it all. Good thickness, good meat-to-fat ratio. Quality that rivals a proper pork belly specialty restaurant — mildly moved by it. It would be disappointing if they just threw in some token pork belly to round out the menu, but here it's genuinely, seriously good pork belly.

The green onion kimchi is a bit aged, with a sweetness and umami that pairs well with both the eel and the pork belly.
Would I return to this Siheung Baegot eel restaurant?
This place broke my belief that 'all-you-can-eat eel places aren't great'!!! The main event, the eel, is such good quality. Plump, not fishy at all, and the pork belly is delicious too. A place to go back to again and again, a place to become a regular at.
A taste that made me think of my eldest son in the military, my second son at the study academy prepping for exams, and even my father back home. I need to bring everyone who loves eel here at some point.
📢 Oh, and my husband said the charcoal and the ventilation were amazing. The charcoal heat was really strong and the ventilation sucked up the smoke so well that no smoke ever reached my nose — we ate completely comfortably and cleanly. The best!👍
✔️ There's an opening event where subscribing to notifications gets you a free bokbunja (black raspberry) liqueur, so keep that in mind. For dates, family meals, work dinners, gatherings~ highly recommend Songnim Bok Jangeo Unlimited Freshwater Eel Siheung Baegot Direct Branch!!!
