Now that the heat has broken and a cool breeze is blowing! The weather was so nice that I went for a walk with my mom along the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail 🌿 I wanted a cup of coffee while we were out, and I found a spot tucked away in a tiny alley off the trail with great vibes — Ieo Coffee Roasters, a Gongdeok café.

A red brick building 5 minutes from Daeheung Station Exit 3
Ieo Coffee Roasters, a café near the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail in Gongdeok, is a 5-minute walk from Daeheung Station Exit 3! The red brick building with lush green plants caught my eye. There were outdoor seats too, which looked great for nice weather.

Seating good for solo visits or with a friend
From window bar seats to 2- and 4-person tables, there was a good variety — great for chatting with a friend, or for sipping coffee leisurely by yourself.

Drip bags and beans for sale — 10% off for 3 or more
Ieo Coffee Roasters sells drip bags and beans — buy 3 or more drip bags and get 10% off, and if you buy 8 or more you can get them boxed up. They also sold a variety of beans from different origins, each labeled clearly with acidity, sweetness, and flavor notes.

To get to the restroom, take the key and go out to the left — it's the second door. The ceiling is low, so watch your head.

Menu — handmade almond milk signatures and non-coffee drinks
The menu has basic coffee options like americano and café latte, plus signature drinks made with handmade almond milk, like the almond latte, cream almond, and basil milk tea. There's also a good range of non-coffee options like grapefruit apple tea and matcha latte, so even non-coffee drinkers can visit without worry! (Extra shot or oat milk substitution available)

There were also bakery items that go well with coffee. Basque cheesecake, egg financier, walnut pecan chocolate cookie, and white macadamia cookie were all on offer, baked golden brown and looking delicious just to look at!
- Almond latte ₩6,000
- Grapefruit apple tea ₩5,000
- Egg financier ₩4,100

I ordered the combo of cool-looking iced drinks with the crispy-outside, moist-inside egg financier — doesn't it look delicious just from the visuals 🤤

Almond latte — nutty flavor without syrup
First, the signature almond latte, made with handmade almond milk, had a rich, nutty almond flavor 🤎 Completely different from an almond latte made with sweet syrup! No artificial sweetness, just clean and nutty — I enjoyed it a lot.

Grapefruit apple tea — grapefruit syrup with apple tea
I also ordered the refreshing grapefruit apple tea, made with grapefruit syrup plus apple tea, so the grapefruit's slight bitterness and the apple's sweetness blended together subtly. Not too sweet and clean, it paired well with the dessert too.

Egg financier — crispy outside, sweet filling inside
I was surprised it wasn't an egg tart — the egg financier had a slightly crisp outside and a moist financier inside with a sweet, soft filling. It was delicious, and perfect to alternate with the coffee.
While we were hanging out at the café chatting, a nutty smell started drifting around — I think they were baking desserts. Even the customer at the next table said, "Something smells delicious!" haha. Smelling it made me want to order another dessert 🥺

Summary — who should visit
Both the drinks and desserts at Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch were not too sweet and had a clean flavor, right up my alley. The quiet, cozy atmosphere made it a really healing time!
