Burger with mozza cheese bar and ranch sauce: Bas Burger Seodaemun

In short

Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch is a burger restaurant in the basement arcade of Yonsei Cancer Hospital near Seodaemun, Seoul. Two people shared a Bas Burger set, a Hawaiian burger, and a mozza cheese bar, dipping thick fries in ranch sauce alongside free chip refills and sauces. Adding one cheese bar to a burger set makes for a plentiful meal for two.

When you suddenly crave a burger near Seodaemun Station

I was in Sinchon running errands when I suddenly wanted a burger, and searching nearby turned up Bas Burger — I remembered enjoying it in Munjeong! It's near Seodaemun Station Exit 2 and super easy to reach from Yonsei University too, haha.

Kiosk ordering, free sauces, and a photo review event

Ordering is easy via kiosk, and there's a really wide range of sauces to choose from! If you order a burger set or fried items (fries, wings), you get an assortment of sauces — so good, haha.

There's a photo review event where you can get 2 pieces of mozza chicken bites or 1 cheese bar for free. The burgers look so good you'll want to snap a photo anyway, so I joined in, haha.

We came in early on a weekend, so it was totally quiet and relaxed — loved that, haha.

While waiting for our burgers, we munched on the free sauces and chips — crunchy and so tasty, and free too, what a steal.

What the two of us ordered

We ordered: 1 Bas Burger set, 1 Hawaiian burger single, 1 mozza cheese bar.

The moment we got the burgers, the buttery smell filled the air — so good, ugh. The lettuce and tomato looked completely fresh too.

The fries that came with the set were pretty generous, so even with one set plus an extra burger for two people, the portion felt just right. With the free chips too, it felt even more plentiful!

The burgers were also stacked so neatly and beautifully, haha.

How the Bas Burger tasted

First up was the 'Bas Burger,' the most basic menu item, but the meat's savory aroma was amazing!!! The patty is seasoned quite saltily, and even with thick vegetables piled in, the flavor wasn't bland — it was perfectly balanced and delicious.

Hawaiian burger — watch out for the pineapple juice

Next was the 'Hawaiian burger.' I personally love pineapple in pizza and burgers, so whenever I see a Hawaiian burger on the menu I always order it, and Bas Burger's Hawaiian burger totally satisfied me! The pineapple was really thick and full of juice!!! The salty patty, bacon, and cheese combined with the pineapple's sweetness — so good... the ultimate sweet-and-salty combo, ugh. Just be careful, the pineapple juice can drip a lot, haha.

Fries go best with ranch sauce

Next we tried the fries — I personally love thick-cut fries, and Bas Burger's fries were so good! There were also many free sauces available, so it was great to dip the fries in different flavors. The fries plus ranch sauce combo was the best... free chips and free sauces, what a generous burger place, ugh.

Is the mozza cheese bar worth adding?

Last was the 'mozza cheese bar.' I'd been so curious about this cheese bar after seeing people eat it in mukbang reels and YouTube videos!!! The outside is red, kind of like chili oil, but the spiciness wasn't strong at all, haha. Freshly fried cheese sticks are just unbeatable... you could really taste the savory cheese flavor, so delicious!

Stretchy melted cheese from the mozza cheese bar

I worried the cheese might snap short, but it was so hot it stretched out beautifully, ugh. Eating it together with the burger was such a great combo, haha. It's also a big size, so it's good for sharing between two — definitely recommend adding this one!

Bas Burger tastes as good as it looks — generous and pretty. You really can't go wrong at any branch, but this Yonsei Cancer Hospital branch was the most satisfying in many ways this time! Everyone should try it!
