Today my partner and I went to a board game café near Nowon Station! Do you guys like board games? I don't know how to play many of them so I'm not usually into it, but this time I actually had fun trying new games ,,,
This particular place had a PlayStation, arcade machines, and puzzles too, so if you wanted to try everything you'd need a whole day and it still wouldn't be enough! For those times when just going to a café and chatting feels a bit dull, let me introduce Hero Board Game Cafe near Nowon Station, where you can eat something tasty and play games comfortably!
Where is Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch, and what are its hours?

Table seats, floor seating and group rooms inside the Nowon branch
I've actually been here several times! Today I got a discount through Superchart haha. There's plenty to do in Nowon's culture street, but if you're looking for arcade-and-board-game fun in Nowon, I highly recommend this place!

Once you find the building and head up to the 2nd floor, you'll see the entrance like this! The usage fee is billed afterward, and they seat you according to your headcount and table type (table or sit-down). We comfortably went for a sit-down room.

So they have table seating, sit-down rooms, and even group rooms ready!

You pick your food and drinks from the kiosk at your table, pay, and pick it up yourself. The kiosk even shows the game list, which I really loved!!! After ordering, we took a walk around the place!

Look at how many board games they have! Honestly, in just an hour you can play maybe two games at most.. I want to try every single game they have here.

In order: puzzles, arcade machines, and PlayStation! All free, so feel free to use them however you like. We didn't even have time for it, haha.
Rates and menu: 3,000 won an hour, one drink per adult

The rate is ₩3,000 per hour, and adults must order one drink each whether it's a weekday or weekend! Teens pay ₩2,000/hour on weekdays with a drink optional, but on weekends it's the same ₩3,000/hour plus a required drink — keep that in mind.

We ordered snowing onion chicken, peach iced tea, and eol-baksa! I heard the chicken here was good so I had high hopes — of course it's not quite the quality of proper fried chicken places, but it was good to pick at while gaming and it tasted great! Now let me tell you about the two games we played.
Two board games this couple played: Skewer Master and Mom's Errand

How Skewer Master (꼬치의 달인) plays
I'd seen this on Instagram and wanted to try it, and I finally did.. I thought it'd be easy but my hands got tangled up more than I expected, haha, it was hilarious and time flew by. I completely wrecked my partner at this one ^ ^*

How Mom's Errand (엄마의 심부름) plays
We tried this one because they said it was a new game !!! I'm apparently worse at mental math than my partner, so I ended up losing......... It seemed like it'd be really fun to play with friends too !!!! Definitely a board game I'd recommend !!!!
Each game took about two rounds, so an hour flew by in a flash.. We ended up staying a bit over an hour, squealing and having a blast !!

They said if your birthday falls in that month, it's completely free! Let's gooooo =333
Is Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon worth it for an indoor date?
When you're on a date or hanging out with friends, sometimes just going to a café feels a bit dull, right? Why not try something different and check out a board game café? Even if you're thinking "I don't really know games.." and feeling shy, you'll pick it up as you go, so anyone can have a great time here !!!
A comfortable space, tasty food, and lots of game variety — that was Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch.
